Go for it, Kairk!  Go for veggies and fruits, I mean.  ;)  I sure could NOT have done 7 daily V/Fs much earlier than this.  My early sleeve restriction simply would not have permitted it.

BTW, hubby wants to lose a few pounds, so we've come up with an eating plan for him for the next month.  He's chosen as one of his daily V/F servings 16 olives, which is 100 cals.  BTW he's a civilian, not a WLS patient.  ;)

Kahlua pork - yummm! I'm have to try that when back from FL. Where did you get the recipe? I hope your cold is resolving finally.  A lot of sickness is definitely going around.

204.  I accidentally posted on Sunday's thread, but it was all family related.  My food progress was good this weekend.  I used to treat myself on weekends, but I gotta tighten the reigns again.  I went to Costco and in addition to picking up my regular staples, I got asparagus and roast turkey lunchmeat.

I steamed the asparagus for almost 3 minutes then rolled the lunchmeat around it.  My older grandson liked it and ate a lot of them.  I made beef stew for everyone, but kept some beef aside so I could make mine mostly beef.

I skipped buying goodies, except for a small* bag of pretzels for the SuperBowl, which I did not buy at Costco* and poured into a 8 oz. Dixie cup so I didn't eat the whole bag.

It sounds like you are planning well! I have to admit that I have to include a treat in my planned calories (it seems to keep me on track knowing that I get one every day), but try to make it have some value like almonds or a protein bar.  BUT sometimes it is low-cal ice cream...

Greetings Maintenance Survivors

Liz glad you arrived safely. Hope your DH gets meds straightened out. As you know there are lots of options.

Snowed in Carbon?  As I chill I used to wish for those snow days. Glad to be away from it but here its rain rain rain.

132.5 which is amazing since I had a french fry fumble yesterday. Also ate leftover fish taco and lentil stew with pork. Quite a bit of food for me considering I didn't do much to burn it off. Maybe the excitement of the Super Bowl did it. Nice to see an interesting game as sometimes they are so lopsided. Kind of wanted the Falcons to win as the underdog but the Patriots sure earned it.

Joey I used to make those asparagus roll ups often with a sprinkle of cheese in it. Never occurred to me that kids would like it. You can use lean ham or even soft bread for kids. I've wondered if it would work with green beans.

Kairk sorry that cold is hanging on. Maybe take a bath in chicken soup!! What you probably need is about two days home in bed but sounds like that isn't going to happen.

Well Ann thanks for the tips on veggies. We all need more of them. So glad so many are available year round now. I remember this one restaurant that used to serve a whole steamed carrot on a hot dog bun. Sounds terrible.

Well kiln opens today. I have valentines day stuff that has to go up tomorrow so hope it comes out ok.

Keep on truckin' maintainers and breath deep.  Diane S

I look at your macros and think they look great for maintenance! What are you not liking? Calories and protein are great. Carbs are still low compared to a normal American diet.

Macros are good for maintenance, but I want to lose about 10 lbs. Just can't get motivated enough to reduce calories to 1,000 per day. I'm just too hungry! Maybe I should just white knuckle it for awhile (or have another surgery - always seem to lose weight then!) Lol!

Don't know what happened to my post yesterday, but it vanished. 151.7 - almost down in the 140's for the first time in longer than I can remember. Very happy about that!! :)

I've been fat, and I've been thin - and thin is better.
