Shel, I'd love to see that biscotti recipe.  Hubby and I have coffee and one biscotti each every afternoon.  But we've thus far enjoyed the Nonni's supermarket brand (100 cals each).  Would love to enjoy your 30-calorie ones.  :)

Sadly, they are 30 calories because portions are small.  I originally came up with nutritional stats on my own in MFP and when I saw your post I thought oh &*(^, Ann is going to double check my math!  But, I found the recipe on-line and they include nutritional info.  They consider a typical serving 94 cals.   But, I am ok with tiny portions for flexibility.

Recipe is super easy.  I will say that I always add a bit of water to help it turn into a dough in the mixer. Mine always seems overly crumbly before the addition of  water and I can't stand to move forward with it like that. They should refer to "forming dough" unless it forms a dough!

There would be ways to make it lower sugar/carbs but when I did the math it wasn't worth it to me to experiment for minor  changes in stats for individual tiny portions.

And, here it is:

Edited to add I think my daughter might have forgotten sugar or used the wrong measuring cup.  Anyway, still not bad since there are cranberries (tho I prefer just a touch of sweetness!

Thank you, Shel, for the recipe link.  And no, I will NOT check your math.  :)

I appreciate all the low-cal luxe I can get into my maintenance menus.

I'm sticking my head in a for a Good Morning!  I'm still reading posts but just can't seem to get anything worth saying typed. Struggling is an understatement. Part of my problem is Menopause...hormonal swings, thyroid, etc.  My blood work is done.  My levels are all over the place.  No wonder I'm a mess...I'm  looking at options. Anyone have experience with pellets? Listening to the dr. talk about creams, patches and oral medication or pellets...I'm leaning towards pellets.  I'm hoping once I get leveled out my eating will fall back, into, place, too.  Is that an unreasonable expectation.  I'm really trying to pull it together but haven't been able to!!! Frustrating!

Massage today then going to my parents for a visit.  They have been without a car for a few weeks.  They had a car accident but are ok.  They car was not!

Lots going on in here...thinking and praying for each one of you!!!

Enjoy the weekend!

Hi, Stephanie.  I'm new here.

What are "pellets"?  I'm pretty sure they're not deer food.

I'm very post-menopausal.

I'm sorry you are struggling. I have never had thyroid problems but pre and post-menopause was a bear for me.  I never took any meds because of heart history in my family. I had awful mood swings and had the worst hot flashes (would feel sick to my stomach and they sometimes were almost constant). I'm sure that a lot of my major weight gain during that period was due to it as well. At 15 years post menopause I still have a hot flash periodically but they are mild and I think my moods leveled out (DH and kids might not agree).

So I know what you are going through, but unfortunately I couldn't treat it.  Good luck finding something to help!

Left the car loaded with scrap wood and tools to move when I got the wrong day.  Today is the day to house / dog sit.  So we will be leaving in a bit.

Steps yesterday were cleaning the shop here.  A lot of dust that I should have cleaned all along.  Hope to design a better dust collection system in the shop in the woods.

JoeyJo, very hard question.  A very wise doctor told me as I was doing rotations in his clinic. One of the most important things to do was listen to your patient.  Maybe you are not hearing your doctor, maybe he is not hearing you.

akindofmagic, welcome to the group.

Still seeking peace, David
