Shel, I'm started to look through some old threads here and found your one-year-surgiversary thread.  Loved reading it:

http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/vsg/5401801/One-year-surgi versary-171-5-lbs-lost-since-surgery-pic-long/

The longer I get into maintenance (only a year and a half thus far) the more I appreciate that successful maintainers have found what works for THEM.  There's not a single size fits everyone.  Principles, yes.  Tactics, not so much.

One other thing -- I'm appreciating the writing skills of people here.  Really enjoy reading the posts.

Safe travels Liz.  DW got in last night, it was a long trip.

Feeling lazy again today.  I'm going to have to kick it in gear.  Planning on working on the shop here to get it clean so we can store stuff in it.  It is a long way from clean.  Hope to move the Airstream next week.

Devon, I hope your singleton is healthy and is worth all of the effort and money.  I had never heard of this problem before.  It will be so hard to not attach to one puppy.

More Later, David

206.  Not good.  My favorite skirt was too tight to wear to work today.  I remember being sad that it was almost time to donate it because it was getting too big.  frowny face

We had a "lunch and learn" at work today.  It was about investing, which is not something currently on my radar, so I did not go and instead enjoyed my tuna packet and sweet orange pepper.  I need to watch everything that goes into my face.

On the bright side and much more important-my daughter is remarkably better, released from the hospital and back at out-patient dialysis.  She is still in training and setting up her dialysis gear at home.  I had the boys overnight again so she could rest.  I do love my nighttime and morning snuggles and know that it helps them.  We listened to Peter Pan on librivox.com before bed.  It's better for school-night bedtime stories, because they can listen with the lights out, I set sleep timer on my phone and it stops when the time is up.  I re-wind a bit since they always fall asleep and we listen on the way to school.

Once everything settles down a little bit, my son and I will be starting Aikido.  I found a place, but don't want to join and start paying when I know we won't get there.  Soon.  The tight skirt lit a fire under my a$$!

Greetings Fine Friends

Well, 132.5 today. Thats down a pound and a little more like it from yesterdays shocking number. I know, I am being ridiculous but there it is. Always better to be missing a few pounds.

Took Princess Tesla to her breeder for grooming yesterday. She behaved pretty well and tolerated being worked on. She is cute as can be and by pulling her coat down now, it should be ready for mid April shows. I haven't been to shows in years and it can be grueling if you get an 8 am show time.

Tesla also got to romp with another dog there whom I think may be her future puppy partner. He is most handsome - an English import.

Hubby's car is on life support but they think they can fix it. We have an extra car - my suv - so I think he should scrap it but it is his. He never drives very far and you can get a used Nissan Leaf for not much money and I think that would be a good deal.

GL on the trip Liz. I used to be pretty fixated on planning and schedules but in my retirement have learned to roll with the changes that inevitably occur. When we moved to California we drove 2 cars and mine broke down on a Friday night in Rock Springs Wyoming. So we just holed up at the holiday inn and went to see the Flaming Gorge. If you are ever driving cross country on 1-80 I highly recomend seeing it. Its as beautiful and varied as the Grand Canyon, just not as big. We were 10 feet away from Big Horned Sheep and our dogs saw antelope and had a fit.

22nd wedding anniversary tomorrow and we are going out to a new seafood restaurant. Gonna check the menu on line.

Well Dave, you are one the home stretch. Can't wait to hear about life in the new digs.

Good on all of you who are still tracking. I did it for a full four years and then got tired of it. Doctor thinks I should do it one day a month just for info. He is right but I haven't. My protein is probably too low but I just hate the shakes. Hubby likes Spirituine brand and has it daily.

Peace and breath in that calorie free air.   Diane S.

P.S. Shel I looked at your one year post. Great stuff.

Joey keep that skirt fire flaming. And hug those little boys. They are lucky to have you.
