There is a website called mindful.org. It is a great reference of short articles about being mindful and there is an entire section of articles about teens. I think many teens today are simply overwhelmed by what is expected of them and they have so few coping skills they begin to feel inadequate. Pointing out some strategies for teen self care and mindfulness might help DS#2 drop his ***** affect and be more compassionate. (Yes, I've learned that boys are now *****es, too! Equal opportunity ladies! LOL)

Whew, what a day some of you have had. Joey so sorry for your experience. Nothing worse than sick family. Ditto for you Dave. Your families are lucky to have you in their lives.
No sleep really sucks. Carbon just rest today so you don't get sick.
Shel you are right about the fat/thin pecking order. It exists. And its not just women. Men treat fat women badly or say bad stuff behind their backs. Plenty of it has gotten back to me. What a dumb thing to worry about. Where I live now people are pretty accepting but back in the business world it was bad.
Well 131.5 today (peck peck) So I guess I walked off some weight chasing the dog yesterday. DH is checking in to a dog gps for him. LOL
So glad Duchess is home. Never heard of that issue but glad you have your fur baby to fuss over and spoil. But resist the urge to over feed her as weight can't help. I let my old dog gain some weight and now its hard on her.
Sunny today and I have gallery duty. Lots of computer stuff to mess with and I don't know what I am doing. DH has Chip out on a walk. This time on a leash - no running through the neighborhood on the loose. We may have to take him to doggie day care once in awhile so he can have some adventure.
Get lots of rest everyone. Its essential when stressed. Easier said than done I know. Diane S
Yes the neighborhood chase may be good exercise once in a while but certainly not too often!

135.4 I think - this morning was so long ago.
Still stress filled drama at the house with DS#1. Need to set some boundaries for acting out. I actually feared for my safety last night - not right to feel that way in your home.
Got my 30 minutes on treadmilling in today during lunch hour at work. Calories are on track - just over 1,000 right now so a little wiggle room if I need/want a snack tonight.
Hugs to you, too. Such tough times for this group. Good for you for taking care of you. I hope the option of DS1 moving in with your pastor/friend works out.
