Thanks for your comments, Ocean.  You're right.  The ones who've commented most about my weight loss are those who get off on drama of all kinds.  Bread and circuses.

So sorry Carbon. Being wide awake at 1:30 is no fun.

SOOOO... Duchess had a reprieve.  It seems that she has idiopathic vestibular disease which affects the VIII cranial nerve causing severe vertigo. Vet said that they don't know what causes it but it should go away on its own (and she looks better this morning than yesterday). Apparently some people do have their dogs euthanized when they get this thinking it is a stroke, but she has the classic signs of vestibular disease. She was having problems walking because she thought she would fall over from being so dizzy (so she did). She can eat and sleep way better when the left side of her head and body are supported because then she doesn't feel like she is spinning.  Who knew!  Everyone is happy (including Duchess who was glad to leave the Vet and come back home, plus I think she likes having her "boy" attend to her and carry her up and down stairs).

Weight 115.5, calories 1750 (yikes on calories, but something tells me that I need them over 1500 to go up).  Still trying to make them mostly good calories.

2 days before we leave for Florida, so need to do some remaining packing - We are bringing lunches, snacks, and lots of water in a cooler for the drive time.  The hotels have a breakfast and we will go out for dinner. Have a wonderful hump day!

GREAT news about Duchess.  She's such a sweet looking, pretty thing.

What a relief about Duchess, so very happy for you all!

It is scary to expand calories after being so structured.  Be brave. In hindsight, I had some swelling (and weight) from PS for months afterward.  My PS said I would, but my brain had trouble accepting an "excuse" for pounds.

Weight this morning - 134.2 (same as yesterday)

Macronutrients yesterday

Cals - 1,644
Carbs - 155
Fat - 68
Protein - 110 (baby back ribs, oh my!)
Sugar - 77
Fiber - 22

Exercise yesterday - 1 hour of yoga (feeds my soul and body)

Weather today - mostly sunny, mid 50s, low humidity and windy.  Not bad for February.

Plans for today - pool, shopping, work on a speech I'm giving next week, crossword puzzles

New 2017 Goal - One of my 2017 health goals is to eat more veggies and fruits, moving up to (gulp) 7 a day!  Up to now my goal has been 5 a day, and I often make that.  Moving up to 7 veggies/fruits is a stretch goal for me.  It means smarter shopping (so I don't waste food) and more food prep.  I can do this.  Come on, fiber!

Happy Wednesday!

124's, way too much on my plate today.  Will feel better in 24 hours.

Women and weight loss comments:I think some women have an internal pecking order that is weight based. We lost weight and they lost status.  They peck back.  Screw it, I'm keeping my spot in the pecking order. (JK about that, I have never noticed other people's weight.)

The world and the assumption that we are 5 minutes from a 200 lb weight gain:  It is as widespread as the myth that MO get that way from being lazy gluttons.  Again, screw it.  I don't need that negative energy.

Carbon, hope you find some peaceful rest.  I don't think that I have ever been that tired.

Find your skinny self care today,

Shel

Shel, I agree with you about "pecking order". I like your mindset!
