01/31/17 Last Day of January !
Tuesday is here! Time to kick it into gear!
125's. No formal exercise yesterday because of DD obligations.
These extra obligations are the deal I made with the devil (DH.). He agreed to be the parent who initially practices with DD as she learns to drive. In return, I am taking over all the other DD responsibilites. It is really cramping my style! But, I am joking about the devil.I am am very grateful to DH for being her co-pilot in these early days of driving.
DianeO, this year, the only times I have fallen Xcountry skiing is going uphill. It is a slow motion fall; I have time to look over my shoulder to see who will witness. Even if there is no one there, I yell "sorry!" to the trees. I loved that you were skiing at Lake Placid....so iconic!
Paula, I hope DS1 is doing better. Loving reminder to purposefully practice self care rather than let the situation eat up all of your personal resources.
Hug yourself, your peeps, your pets and your skinny today
Love you all,
Shel

Life in limbo.....that is where I am right now.
DS #1 talked with his school counselor yesterday then came home and talked with DH (I was at work). We have asked out pastor and his wife (they are true friends as well) if they might take DS in for a while (they have taken in other kids in the past). They are talking it over and will get back to us.
DH heard from FL late yesterday. They still want him. He had turned down a chair job with them and they were going to look for a faculty only position for him but don't have one right now. They will be in discussions about bringing in him as a interim chair (for about a year) and then switching him to a straight faculty position which is what he wants. He still needs to decide if that is what he wants to do and then of course if he decides yes, the salary must be able to compensate the increased cost of living with the move and the good potential that I won't be working (at least initially). Leaving DS #1 to fend for himself is also on my mind. Part of me wants the break, the other part doesn't want to pull his support system so far away from him (though we have offered to have him move with us if that is what we do!)
Calories good until the evening then everything went downhill. We had a celebration with the scouts with a potluck of sweet and salty treats and the temptation was just too much for me to want to handle last night. I feel like I need a big blinking "days since going off plan" sign hanging in my kitchen much like we might have a "days since a fall" in the hospital or "days since an accident" on the factory floor! Wasn't there a scene in Monster's Inc. about days since a contamination?
It is a new day. If I am indeed going to move to Florida, I need to get my skin showing body back in shape! Lol! The extra skin folds and all!
So much uncertainty! Hugs. You're very fortunate to have your pastor and his wife to maybe help with DS. I really think that kind of support could make all the difference. Prayers and love to you and your family.

Still lounging in bed on a much needed day off. Haven't weighed for several days - head firmly in the sand. Of course that doesn't change a thing.
Nice to have the house to myself! Will pick up Bailee's ashes today and that's probably the most adventurous thing I'll do. It's turning colder again out there. We always begin to turn the corner into spring when February is done so must hang in.
That leads my thoughts to motorcycles and rvs. Picked up an almost new single unit washer dryer for RV. That was on my reno wish list - a great addition. Might venture out with DH this evening to look at flooring and cabinetry.
Okay, that's enough when I'm feeling tired! Peace out. Lord knows the world needs to receive that message too.

motorcycles and rv's.....so nice to think about change in seasons. The desire to hibernate must be even stronger in your climate!

This morning's weight was down a little - 134.2. As long as I'm at or below 135.6 (my 100-pound marker) I'm a happy camper. J
Yesterday's macronutrients -
Cals - 1,552
Carbs - 155
Fat - 58
Protein - 95
Sugar - 74
Fiber - 18
Yesterday's exercise - 1 hour of aquarobics (love it!)
Here in the Midwest we're having another day of sunshine, no wind and mid-50s temps. Gorgeous!
And here's a quick question for the group: After having weighed the same for the last year (135 pounds at 5'5") I'm only now starting to get comments from a few other women about my weight loss. It's like some have realized I'm not going to regain the weight this time, and (ahem!) they're not altogether sure they approve. Trust me, I don't look sick. I look healthy. Younger. Happier. I have more energy. I'm beginning to think I've upset some apple carts. Although I'm not planning to change anything, some of their comments and reactions (that were meant to be subtle, but aren't) have surprised me. Anyone else encountered this?

When I was in the low 120's I got a lot of "you are too thin" comments. When I was in the high 120's, I got some, you look better now, no so gaunt. Now in my low to mid 130's I'm not getting any too thin or look better comments but I do still get (from total strangers or new patient's) "wish I could be skinny like you or skinny people like you......."
I'm sure your contemporaries are a bit jealous. You look awesome! Be proud of what you have accomplished!
