good very early morning everyone.   I have a feeling that it is going to be yet another sleepless night.   Family dramas do not help.

walked for two hours and ate fairly well

garage sales were just ok.  I rarely purchase things ****ep thinking of your trailer Dave) but found a lovely carnival glass vase that is the same as a beloved neighbour had when I was a child.   For $3 it brought back some lovely memories, but needed it like I need a hole in the head.   Sigh.

Carbon...sorry you're up pondering, but the vase sounds like a lovely purchase.

134's heading out to my cross country skiing adventure. I am confident that I can make food choices to fuel my adventures.

I've been putting it off, but am about to pay four bills (water, dentist, compression stocking copays and atop off of propane) for a sum of $2,000. Man Liz, I can't imagine the stress of DH doing this. Just a simple thing like the compression stocking provider billing me for a stack of copays occurring during the last six months threw ME for a loop, trying to cross-reference everything.

Ah, living on a retirement income.... It will all balance out !

115.25 this morning.  DD did come and we did go shopping and out for dinner.

But we had the dog drama yesterday. Duchess, our 13 year old beagle, had some sort of event yesterday morning, either a seizure or a stroke. She has a bad heart valve, so the latter may be what happened.  Regardless, panic ensued.  I wasn't there as I was getting a pedicure, so my son called for the vet's number and I met them there. By then she was alert and could sort of walk in a stumbly way. Vet checked her out, took blood, checked glucose and BP. Blood results looking for kidney, liver etc problems will be back tomorrow. By the time we left Duchess could walk again, but was very uncoordinated (same this morning). She is taking phenobarbital in case it was a seizure which makes her sleepy. Otherwise the most notable change is that she has to be by my sons side or mine every minute. I noticed her looking for my son earlier in the week when he was away every evening, pacing back and forth. Maybe she had a sense something was coming. Son slept on the floor next to her last night. He was very scared that we were going to lose her yesterday. I guess time will tell but she looks good this morning (is next to me now snoring away).

I like to find bargains at garage sales, goodwill or ebay.  But it is harder living in something tiny.  175 sq ft.  but we will have another 180-300 sq ft in the shop that we plan to build bathroom, laundry, hot tub room and storage for Costco size buying.  We are keeping some sentimental stuff.  But we don't have much of that.  We had a house fire about 30 years ago.  Since then stuff is less important to us.  I have read some minimalist authors that actually count their belongings and try to keep at less than 100 items.  I can't go that far but I probably could count my clothes right now.  If it gives you pleasure buy it and take it home.  If it gives you stress let it go.

Off to the shop in the woods for more grinding.

More later, David

Dave, Are you planning on living in the Airstream full time? Will it be stationary or will you travel?

We are planning on full time stationary to start.  DW would like to travel.  Me not so much.  But I am entertaining the idea.  We have always like small spaces and love the tiny house movement popular right now.  I think the airstream will be too small long term.  But it can give us time to build something 400-500 sq ft. I will always need a project to keep me busy.

I like small spaces too, but also travel. That's a wonderful plan!
