Hugs. I go through that though process with each one of my dogs. Sometimes I question whether I made the decision too soon. With Lucy I was upset that she had to go into a crisis. If Ron had been able to let her go earlier... but we always do the best we can for our pets and we have to truly know that without our intervention they would truly have to suffer. You did the best you knew how to do and that's all you can do.

Yes, like you, I have typically questioned whether I've put our pets down too soon, likely partially due to resistance from Rob, so it was weird to be in the opposite position. Bailee was getting dangerously close to crisis so I'm grateful we avoided that at least. I feel for you with Lucy.

Down a pound Not sure if it was because I was more conscientious about my intake or whether it was the gratifying production in the bathroom yesterday! All I can say is that it just proved to me how damn long the colon is!

I am feeling the need for some fruit so I packed a minneola tangelo and a banana in my sack today. I'm looking forward to a little fruit. Hey, better than a doughnut or a sharp stick in the eye, right?

Took Blue in for the follow up ultra sound yesterday. Repro vet worries about single pups in big dogs - the pups often die in utero due to a lack of progesterone. Well, the little lone wolf is alive and well and developing as it should. I have never seen an ultra sound of a pup this far along. I could tell that it was a living creature, not just a blob with a heart beat. It moved, too. I didn't expect that. Sort of cool.

Had a lovely 13 hour day yesterday when all was said and done(before school meetings, school, get Blue to ultra sound during Bay Area rush hour, got home bathed and trimmed Ella for a show this weekend at the Cow Palace). I didn't finish up with the dogs until 8:30. Didn't have the gumption or energy to cook, so we went and got burritos. I get extra meat and am able to get three meals out of a burrito. Maybe not the lowest carb choice, but it worked for last night.

Am not doing so well on my pledge to get enough sleep. I did make it to bed before 11:00 one night this week, but last night was 11:45. Must focus on that. I do do better with enough sleep.

Cheers!

Sweet to be able to see the new pup in utero. We are truly covering life from beginning to end with our fur babies today.

Greetings Concrete Connosuers

Well, I give up trying to spell that word. Anyway, the floor looks great and I envy you having such a great work space. Our studio has this crappy old 50's plastic tile that is peeling up. Oh well. Good job.

132 today and feeling good. Took old Liza to the groomers as she looks like a yak. I always groomed her myself but I have trouble using scissors these days. DH has Chip out for a walk and Tesla the terror does not know what to do with herself.

So sorry for the loss of dear Bailee. Never an easy decision or time.

Last night was some good  grilled chicken and green beans. We are out of fresh stuff so time to hit the store again. No more grabbing pasta and sauce out of the pantry.

Rest up Liz, you are almost there.

Good on all whose kids have found jobs and promotions.  Not easy these days. We live in an area with lots of retirees and part of it is because there are few decent jobs here. Plus its beautiful in the redwoods.

Two gallery days in a row starting tomorrow. It will be dull as no tourists are around now. So gotta take iPad and sketch book.  At least we will have a few dry days.

Yep, life is full and so we should feel that way.  Diane S.

P. S. Devon are you going to the terrier shows in Sacramento in mid april? My breeder wants me to go with her and bring Tesla. So maybe we can meet.

I will most certainly be there! My club has its specialty there each year and we will be hosting the floating nat'l this year, too. I will have Ace and possibly Ella in tow. So, yes, let's plan on it. Damn, now I really have to shed some pounds!!!

New kid on the block here, a refugee from BP.  I can tell y'all are all old friends.  It looks like a friendly room.  :)

Briefly, I was sleeved August 2014, started out at 235.6 pounds, have lost 100 pounds, and have been holding steady at 135 pounds, plus or minus 2 pounds, for the last year.

This morning I weighed 134.2.  Yesterday's macronutrients (per MFP) were:

Cals - 1,584
Carbs - 196
Fat - 50
Protein - 79
Sugar - 111
Fiber 26

Exercise this morning was yoga.  Love my Tu-Th yoga classes.  I do aquarobics MWF and if weather's good on Saturday take a long walk then.  Sunday I just slouch.

BTW, I'm married, 71 years old, retired (as of a year ago) and live in the country. We do a lot of traveling, but live the quiet life when we're home.  :)

Thanks, kairk.  I'll mind my Ps and Qs.  At least for a while.  :)

Seriously, it's great to find a such a comfy place full of grown-ups with common sense.

It's a great group, with interesting lives.  This friendly group welcomed me in early October of last year (had to look back to see when)!
