Up early this morning. Wt 229 Calories 1303
Steps yesterday were downsizing clothes and moving the ones that still fit into the Airstream. I am going to have plenty of room in the airstream. I even have extra for DW. We are planning on building a closet in the shop that will give us more room than we have currently. So much for trying to downsize. It is a little stressful but will be good in the long run.
Vyvanse update: effectiveness is a little less each day. But is still effective. The constant wanted to eat N&Y is not there all the time. I had it twice yesterday but I think it was habit and clock watching or anxiety of packing. Not anything close to hunger. I don't seem to have any negative side effects and I started out on the lowest dose. May meet with my psych doc and see if he wants to bump up.
Well I'm headed out to go grind on the concrete some more. It looks better with each pass. 3 more passes, cleaning with water, letting dry thoroughly, applying sealer and final buffing and we will be done with half of it.
More later, David

Away for the weekend with friends who never knew me obese and were unaware of surgery. Found myself pushing active options over sitting around drinking and was able to navigate away from buffets, not "following the crowd". I am finally feeling confident stating that I simply don't eat enough to make it worth it. When I think about how much I used to consume at 2-3 passes through a buffet... hard to look at it.
Yesterday was a series of appointments and first therapy dog class with dogs in attendance. Sadie rocked it, and we have lots of things to practice. I had my follow up with colonoscopy. I weighed in with boots, two layers of clothes, right after morning of water and lunch... ten pounds heavier than my 135 am weigh in. I just about passed out, but didn't become unglued enough to take off boots and clothes and demand a recount. I'm 135 this morning, as I was confident I would be.
Positive thoughts to all working so hard dealing with weather, change, loss, recovery and getting the most out of every day. We have our heads in the fight... making all the difference.

An extra 10 pounds on the scale would freak me out. One good thing about weighing at home daily is that we can discount other weigh-ins at the wrong time of day.

I'm glad to hear that the vyvanse is working for you - maybe a slightly higher dose will make a big difference.

Good morning! I'm glad to see that I'm not the early bird for once. Weight yesterday after breakfast was 115.25 so I'm slowly going back up, which is good. That darn cheesecake is still here, but I only had a sliver and made/ate some protein pancakes to give myself the right kind of calories. I'm slowly starting to look more like myself after PS and working fulltime yesterday from home was fine, so I'm feeling good about being ready for the trip to Florida in 10 days.
DH had a physical yesterday. We talked about how he was doing on the Zoloft (he's been on it for a little over a month), and he said he feels much better. I thought so, as he has been laughing more and going to the gym more. However he absolutely refuses to transfer the payment of his mother's bills to his brother even though being in Florida complicates it. He says he is going to do it as long as he can. Yesterday when he was writing a check to pay one of them, he could write the amount in words, but needed me to put the numbers in (he couldn't remember how to do it). I guess we'll just have to count on the places where bills have to be paid to notify another family member if it all gets screwed up.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

super quick lit review: In one trial, the ending mean vyvanse dose was 59.something. I believe in this trial, it was titrated up per tolerance/effect.
In the other trial (yes, just 2 trials RCT's that I could find) I believe they tested 30, 50, 70 mg separately. Only the 50 and 70mg strengths significantly beat placebo on primary endpoint of binge eating days.
Recently I skimmed an interview with an obesity expert that said we need to stop thinking of obesity drugs as short term. He said we don't expect blood pressure drugs to continue to work after they are discontinued and should stop assuming that a patient can maintain weight loss without assistance.

Greetings Busy Maintainers
132.5 today. (oops, I first typed it as 123.5 - I wish). Dinner was hamburger and green beans. Chicken tonight. Wish hubby liked lamb but he hates it.
Made rice for the old dog as she needs bland diet. Got her some diapers and gave her a haircut. Trip to the vet later today to see if there is any way to help her. Puppy is in the kitchen growling at some neighborhood invader. Hubby has Chip out for a walk so I get some alone time with a cup of coffee. Its a sunny day and we are supposed to get a week or so without rain. Famous last words.
Dave that concrete polishing makes me hurt just to read about it. But it will be great when done. And you have ample closet space!!! I thought there was no such thing as enough room. Our walk in bedroom closet is oozing stuff out into the room.
Liz glad you are doing well and good to hear a bit from all of you. Yeah when I weigh at the internist I don't take off shoes and stuff and its 5-6 lbs more than I weigh at home but I don't care. He thought I was too thin anyway.
More drama with Mama (lol). Her main caregiver is always getting into these little snits with the other ones and always wants to pull me into them. What can I do 1800 miles away? Hospice doctor doesn't want her bed sores treated except with non prescription cream. Gotta follow up on that.
Well thats about all the news from the kennel. Our lives are ruled by dogs. Oh well, I have had worse rulers. Diane S.
Poor older puppy - I hope the vet can help!
