In female dogs the incontinence at night while asleep is often due to a lack of estrogen. Estrogen will help keep the tissue plump and firm. I had one of my Cairn terrier females on HRT and she stopped the night time incontinence almost immediately. She lived to be 16.5 years old and never had an issue again with incontinence. I kept her on the HRT until she died. Something to look into. The medicine was not at all expensive.

We tried all the drugs including estrogen on the chihuahua. Only the estrogen worked, but her lady parts got swollen and she stopped eating.  We fooled with changing dose but finally gave up.  The beagle has a heart condition so we don't want to cause issues.  Our current method actually keeps it manageable.

Good luck to you Diane - maybe medications will work for your dog!

Late to the game today. I've been working on this post since about 9:00 am!

Weight same as yesterday - too much, but hey, it is what it is....

Feeling much more like my regular self. Put some things on paper to help me rid them from my head. Sometimes doing that really helps me let go of what is troubling me.

Eating came back under control, too. Not perfect choices yesterday - had a couple of cookies in the afternoon and 1/3 of a chicken grilled cheese sandwich with a few fries at dinner, but overall, I'm satisfied with the lack of binge behavior and cravings.

Must have been discombobulated this morning. The first time I have not made a protein shake to take to school since I had my VSG 5 years ago. I had a moment of feeling ill at ease, but it passed as I realized I had yogurt to eat instead. (Yogurt is usually my back up food, if I get hungry.)

Instituted a new classroom discipline program today. I am enjoying the calm it is bringing. I have never ever had to be this strict, but the lack of understanding about behavior is astounding with this group. The approach I am using is non judgmental. It is completely based on observable behaviors. At the end of the day the kids are actually appreciating the program. I don't think they really understand yet the benefit of a peaceful work environment, so today has been eye opening for them.

Hope your Monday has been merry!

Well I came home with a variety of diapers - doggie and baby-  so we will see what works. Old Liza does not dribble pee but pees in the house and poops too. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow to see if anything can be done. I have heard of the hormone treatment though I am not sure its for her as she doesn't leak and dribble, does a deliberate pee. we shall see. thanks for the advice.  Of course I ended up buying lots more stuff than i needed.    diane  s
