The Patriots are going to the Super Bowl again! Both championship games were far from close yesterday.  I went to bed after the 3rd quarter of the Patriots/Steelers game because this week I'm definitely back to fulltime work (back at my desk in 1/2 hour).

115 yesterday. I had a piece of cheesecake last night! It was a small piece, but Wow! I guess there was some protein in it... I also took a walk around the neighborhood yesterday for the first time since surgery.  I'm still walking slow from TT, but it was good to get out. I can hide the facelift bruises now with dermablend but still don't think I look like myself (will I ever?). I'm having a little buyers remorse about doing this (face not TT), but I'll have to give it time.

Get in a good routine for your head and everything will feel better (that's my coping mechanism). I hope you'll all have a wonderful skinny day!

Good morning all:

Liz, you are doing so well!   Yay you!!!!

good food day, no movement to be proud of, it was one of those cold drizzly days and so we hibernated.

Hibernation on a cold drizzly day makes perfect sense, especially after all the emotional turmoil you've been through.

134.2 - up a smidge.

Work today then scouts tonight.

I can't tell if life is racing by or going at a snails pace but it feels like the same ol' same ol' either way. Need to shake things up, try something new!

Here is to a new adventure for all of us!

125's, bad day of grazing yesterday.  Someday, I need to learn to utilize the power of No at home.

I'm planning a day of positivity.

Hug your skinny selves,

Shel

Ate a bacon egg cheese biscuit from mcdonalds.  Didn't taste good.  Wished I hadn't eaten it shortly after it was gone and again when I put it into MFP.  450 cal.  Onward.

Didn't get much done on the concrete.  It wouldn't dry right because it was raining I guess and we tore up some pads.  So parts are ordered today.

((HugS)) Carbon.  Grief work takes time.

I never really got into sports much.  I like to watch soccer.  I lived 2 years in Africa as a kid.  They had lots of soccer. I watched it there but never played.  We don't really have regular tv now.  Everything we watch is streamed from the internet.  I was watching too much news which is depressing.

202.  Had my grandsons most of the weekend.  Did a LOT of cleaning and laundry (my daughter's family's).  My mentally ill son is starting to resent the amount of time being taken by my daughter and her family.  Although he understands it, he is not capable of handling the stress or disappointments.  There is nobody else to pick up the slack for me.  My brothers have helped a bit, but there is only so much they are able to do.

I made an appointment for tomorrow morning to meet with an intensive outpatient program.  The problem with these programs is that they always ALWAYS include addicts and alcoholics with the mentally ill.  He gets so angry that they are all lumped together that he shuts down.  I am hopeful as always that they will be able to help him.

I hope this works out better for your son than in the past.  You have a lot of responsibility on your shoulders.

Greetings Nice People

132.5 again. Oh well. My fit bit told me I had 5000 fewer steps than the week before. Hard to tell as some days I forget it all together.

Liz glad you are healing well. Carbon you have some healing to do too and hibernation is not a bad thing.

Seems like a lot of us have the winter "gloomies" and the best cure I know is to snuggle up with doggies and dear ones. Second best is eat macaroni and cheese but that is out of the question.

Our old dog is incontinent now and I am going to have to get some doggie diapers. anybody ever used those?  I  will take her to the vet and see if there is anything they can do for her but for probably $500 they will tell me no. Oh well, gotta love 'em.

At least the sun is out here for the moment. It wasn't supposed to clear up until tomorrow but I'll take it. Kiln opens today and I have the feeling I have to go to PetCo 20 miles away to get doggie diapers. I hear you can use baby diapers too if you cut a tail hole.  Goodness, such issues we face.

Hang in there everyone. The results are worth it.  diane S

My last beagle was in doggie diapers for about her last 6 months and though she didn't love them, she wasn't happy about peeing on the floor either.  I found that putting a cloth cover over them was important so she couldn't rip them, but sometimes it would get wet so I had to have a backup.  None of this is cheap...

My current beagle is also partially incontinent (when sleeping). She is much longer than my last one and finagled her way out of the diapers every night.  We finally gave up - we wrap her "bed" in plastic and cover it with towels.

And as if that wasn't enough, our chihuahua also has night time incontinence.  We can't even get close to her with diapers, so we use the same solution as for the beagle, plus put a puppy pad down which she uses sometimes.

Needless to say there is a lot of dog towel washing going on here daily.  And no new flooring or carpets are going down anywhere (we took up all carpets in their areas). But they are happy and we love them.

Good luck!
