AFC/NFC championship games are today! I'm hoping I can stay up late enough to see the Patriots win. I've been going to bed around 8:30, but did stay up a bit last night and slept an hour later this morning. We will be in Florida for the Super Bowl.
My weight was still ridiculously at 114.25 yesterday so I ate a lot more than usual, but trying to mostly keep it protein based. I don't want to let bad habits with carbs creep in because I know exactly what slippery slope they lead me down. Still recovering well from PS. I am close to standing straight and can use enough makeup to look almost normal to someone who doesn't know me, but I don't look like me. I hope that a lot more of the swelling will go down over the next week and a half so I do start looking like myself (I was going for the non-jowly, no chicken neck refreshed version, not a different person).
It is nice to meet you Momsy. I love that we are spread across the continent! One of my goals is to see the Grand Canyon. We have been up and down both US coasts and been to quite a few areas to the Midwest, but never to that part of the country. Hopefully we can do a bit of traveling after retirement.
Have a great day! Go Patriots!

Wt 228 Cal 990. Trying hard to get under 900 to see if the scales will move.
Steps to the Airstream are about finished. My steps yesterday was completing an outbuilding that I have been dreading for years. I finished it mostly. In one day. I had built it up in my mind as being this huge project. It was not. Planning on grinding floors on the shop in the woods today. It should be a workout.
I worked on the Navajo reservation at a remote place called Chinle, AZ. They have a canyon that is the second most visited canyon in the world called canyon De Chelly. I've been to the North rim of the grand canyon. It is beautiful. Thought I would never get there. Most people see the south rim. It is closer to the road. The southwest has a beauty that took me a few years to appreciate.

Dave, I'll keep that in mind (about seeing the north side). It will probably depend on how easily I can do it with DH. He just started heading out the door for his Monday morning physical... Having a calendar up with days marked off isn't completely working.
I am in awe of your skills as a craftsman - very impressive! It sounds like the new medication may be helping?

Good morning everyone
it seems an age since posted. So many tears shed not only for the death of the 7 year old but for his grandfather who had a massive heart attack at the funeral and died shortly afterwards. We arrived home to find that a beloved daughter of neighbours had committed suicide. It has been a very hard stretch. I smply cannot imagine what all of the families are going through.
however yesterday the sun shone and while there was no heat in it the very fact that the sky was bright helped.
virtually no walking while away and am looking forward to getting back to some sort of routine.
good to read all of the recent posts.
Carbon, I'm so sorry for all these losses. A couple of years after my daughter died, our next door neighbor's 21 year old son committed suicide. Such a loss! So difficult for his parents not to constantly replay "what if" over and over again. I do that too with my daughter but it is more about healthcare choices, not responding to what appeared to be normal 21 year old musings. And a 7 year old! Again, so much harder. My daughter was 32 and there were so many dreams that didn't come true, but so much more so for a young child. Best to not be able to imagine what they are going through.
Routine is good. Take care of yourself!

133.8 - the same I think. Did get some exercise in yesterday - yay!
Church today, woman's bible study tonight. Big Packer's game this afternoon but I'm not a fan of football in general. People in the region are crazy fans though! I think I do have a sweatshirt I could throw on to show support!
Paula
I was never a big supporter of football in the past but you can't help but get caught up in Patriots fever around here. I think your game is the first one today, then the Patriots/Steelers game.
