133.2 - down which is amazing as I was certainly not choosing weight loss mode foods the last couple of days!
Scouts had fun at the water park. My arm is still healing from what I'm pretty sure is cellulitis, so I didn't dare get it in germ infested waterpark water!
Back home now, church today, woman's bible study tonight. Will be a speaker in DS#3's careers class tomorrow then have to go in for real work!
My intention for today is to make healthier food choices!

So the arm is doing better?

Good morning!
Liz, I'm glad you are almost upright! My idea to combat your stir craziness is this: Go RETRO! Think 1960s Jackie Kennedy - big glasses, and a large scarf tied under your chin. Nice winter coat to complete the look and there you go! Sometimes getting out is worth the trouble of going incognito! Hope the intestinal gods clear up the take down the road block causing your traffic jam!
I am up 1.0 since Friday. Combination of a new HIIT routine on Friday evening and my not so stellar eating yesterday.
Boy, I was not feeling overly disciplined! My friend came by for a belated xmas gift exchange. I had an inner cringe when I saw the bag from the gourmet candy store in SF. And at the same time as the cringe another part of me - a deeper and stronger part - was doing a happy dance! So, yes, I ate some chocolate covered toffee popcorn (yes, as good as it sounds - probably better). She brought a half pound of that. Then she also brought a pound assortment of sours, caramels, and chocolates. That was easier to resist, but I did taste the peppermint caramels and the oddest tasting gummy. It must have been some sort of lavender flavor or something. Not bad, but one was plenty! LOL.
To prove that the food gods were effing with my la Vida Loca apple fritters came flying down the aisle. I ran into my brother at Costco. He is toying with the idea of buying some apple fritters - his son is home from college. The box has too many, so don't I want to bring some home to Ron he asks. Ron loves fritters. Well, of course, I would...knowing full well that if those damn fritters walk in the door the way that I was feeling I might as well just open and wait for them to fly in. Well, it too****il after midnight for that fritter to make it down the hatch, but it did go down.
So, true confessions. The candy is in a freezer bag in the garage freezer waiting for transport to the teacher's lounge. The fritters are in food saver bags for Ron to take as he sees fit. I am done. Apparently I needed a little good party, but I do not know why. I have not figured that one out yet. All I can come up with is that I was tired from a long week and perhaps the energy required for healthful eating and discipline was waning a bit yesterday.
Good news is that writing it out here and being honest and forthcoming with you all allows me to let go of the sugar episodes of yesterday and move on with renewed vigor and determination this morning! No beating myself up this morning. Just a little residual remorse, but that's okay. Food happens. It's always going to be there and little episodes will happen. I just can't let little dalliances off the path become new routes!
Onward with pride and purpose!
Sometimes you need a "party", but afterwards just be done with it! DS brought home bear claws from the restaurant he is going to work at the other day. Only my PS diet aid (head wrap and difficulty chewing much) saved me!
I may just may follow your suggestion (and go undercover as Jackie)...

I was thinking about your mirror experience yesterday....so nice to have a moment of appreciation and acceptance of the present body. With the risk of projecting my own issues on you, that type of organic feeling from the inside out (instead of trying to force it from the brain) is pretty important. Happy for you!

No weight today --- upside down morning. I found some baking supplies last night when no one was around. They ended up down the garbage disposal but not after some damage. If I am going to bake, even occasionally, I should just plan on putting stuff down the garbarage disposal rather than storing in cabinet.
Have a great day all....the sun is out here, today and temps into low 40's. Feels glorious.

Okay, this crazy mind wants to know if you actually made something and ate some and then used the garbage disposal, mixed it up and ate it before cooking it or just ate the raw ingredients separately? I probably would have done any of the above, just wondering what my other disordered eating friends are willing to do! No judgement at all, just curious!
LOL! No need to expend energy baking something when individual ingredients already so delicious!
It was an open bag of milk chocolate chips and (heaven help me) an open bag of Hershey's toffee and chocolate pieces (not chips, but little pieces....I don't remember the formal name. Like a heath bar all crunched up. 80 cals per tablespoon, I DO remember that!).
THEN, once THAT happened, I figured WTH and had a 1/2 cup of ice cream. Because, why not, I had already messed up. And, it was made even better with some (again from baking supplies) peanuts on top.
I went to bed with a slightly sore stomach. Honestly, a mummy head wrap sounds better and better. It might need a lock on it.
