Sunday January 15
Good Morning all! Back to winter here in New England. Last week we hit 60 but this morning it is 25 with a sprinkling of snow on the ground. The dogs are nudgy because I haven't been able to take them on walks since early in the week - I think I'll ask my son to take them today. The beagle will walk with anyone, but the chijuajua will only walk with me or my son (we are also the only people who can pick her up - and yes, she was the one who wouldn't sit with me for the first couple of days after surgery).
Hoping the bathroom logjam breaks today. I took very few opioids so I didn't expect to back up but I'm ready. My body did get going pretty well after WLS on its own, but it might have been the same time lapse. But this time I'm eating quite a bit more than i was then.
Still sore enough to need over the counter pain pills, but I'm almost upright standing now. Swelling in my face seems to be starting to recede. I am feeling kind of bored - doing less than after WLS when I was taking walks every day. Until the wrap is off my head, I am NOT going anywhere.
Have a great day!

Worked on the shop in the woods yesterday. Floor cleaning. Temp lighting solution. Concrete grinding. I had never been around this process. It is a lot of work and I am on the heating pad all night and now as I write. I'm sure extra pain meds are on for today. The end of the process is a concrete floor that shines like glass. Big box stores may grind a little then finish but DS#1 has the machine for his property and he decided to do the shop while it is empty. It already looks better taking off 30 years of grime. I'm excited about getting to create in this space and I haven't been excited about much of anything in quite a few years. Plan to go back today. Hope my back can hold out to the activity. Good ab workout for sure.
Temps here are above freezing for the next 10 days. Yea!!
Airstream steps are almost done. I need to have a mirror cut for a door frame and I need to build a custom twisted shower curtain rod. And then take some pictures.
Seek peace, David

It sounds like you are getting a lot of exercise, but don't overdo it! You don't want to laid up with your back not able to enjoy your refurbished shop.

I'm so sorry Carbon. Take care of yourself.
