Good Morning All !
135's. Have to admit to some scale thrill every time I am in the range/sharing stats with my "newbie cohort group ". I do try not to compare, but I know where Shel and Paula are, and it does generate feelings of envy when they are significantly lower than me. I'm working on that, but just being honest.
5:45 AM boot camp has real advantages ! I'm shot by 8 PM, but lots of time in between to complete projects. Yesterday, I made an insulated Roman shade for the kitchen sink window I've had ready to work on for months. While I had the machine threaded and out, I knocked out four simple curtains for the basement family room windows. (Again..had purchased the supplies, but just never had time to start and complete.)
Today, I'm not doing any formal exercise, but I'm painting my Reiki/Yoga /Meditation room... purple.. and Sadie and I will bundle up for a nice walk.
Sidenote...I'm loving doing early exercise on an empty stomach. Previously, I'd start loading protein as soon as I'd had coffee. I'm finding my body really needs water before, during, and after heavy exercise. The combination of water loading and exercise has significantly reduced my appetite/desire to eat!

I'm 2 inches shorter than you and my original goal was 135 - I felt and looked pretty good there, so I doubt you have to worry. I'm at 116.5 - I've been holding pretty steady here for about 3 weeks now so I think this is where my body feels comfortable. I'm actually a little skinny (for the first time in my life), but I expect my body will adjust.
We received about 5 inches of snow yesterday and are bracing for what could be more than 14 inches more today. Luckily we don't have to go anywhere, the refrigerator is full and we have a generator. The only challenge will be shoveling paths in the yard for the dogs. The beagle will make her own but no way for the chihuahua. If the path isn't clear she will do her business right on the deck (yuck!).
Christmas decorations have to come down this weekend. I will miss the Christmas lights.
Have a great Saturday!

DianeO! "I purchased supplies, but just never had time...." speaks to my soul!
123's. Now that holiday grazing is in the rear view mirror, it is much easier to keep to a regular food schedule at work. Never perfect, mind you. Just better.
Today's a good day....finally opened crunchy peanut butter. We had been suffering thru creamy which was bought in error.
Went to a movie with DH last night. He is currently trying to drop some weight and I generally disapprove of his eating patterns. (Sound familiar?).He just isn't interested in food for health, food quality, macros and barely for entertainment. Processed foods are very much his food of choice. Once he told me "if it doesn't taste like it came from a can, it doesn't taste right." Ick.
Anyhoo, he skipped movie snacks. It used to bother me to not have popcorn at movies but over the years it became the norm and I don't think about it at all anymore. Maybe there is hope that other unhealthy habits can be broken and eventually forgotten.
Hoping to get to the mountains, gotta start layering!

13 degrees with snow on the ground in AR. And it won't get above freezing until tomorrow. Very Unusual.

Not many steps in the past 3 days. Motivation combined with the cold makes me want to hibernate. I have cold hands and feet in the winter months. Diagnosed with Raynauds syndrome after WLS. Treatment is to move to a warmer climate. I am going to put peel and stick warmers on my feet as soon as I post. At least my feet will be warmer.
Diane O, I can't imagine working out at 5:45 in the morning. I'm up, most days, just not very functional.

135 OTD. Booooo!
Still can't get myself in a regular exercise routine - not sure why, I know I feel better when I do. First it was PS recovery and last week a bad cold, but all are getting better now so no real excuse.....perhaps tomorrow
Have to travel today to go see DS #1's Honor's Choir concert in a town about 2 hours away, so will be spending a majority of my day sitting (in the car and in an auditorium).
Still bitter cold.

Good morning - Happy Weekend!
We are supposed to be having the storm of the decade today. Hmmmm.... not so. It drizzled last night and that's about it. So much for the predicted 48 hours of constant rain. Yosemite was closed due to the impending storm. This happens far too often in CA. In the land of fair weather the fuss and ruckus about a rain storm is laughable. I don't know what the reaction would be to a good old fashioned east coast purple and green sky thunder storm. (I personally loves those! They scared me when I was a kid, but I soon grew to love them!)
Anyway....
I have much to celebrate in the way of little successes this morning. First and best to me is that I navigated the teacher appreciation luncheon without a hitch. I brought in my own weighed and measured lunch and sat down with everyone and ate that. My big indulgence was 2 strawberries and 2 slices of kiwi. I chose not to eat any of the five soups or the three delicious salads. There was fresh baked baguette and warm corn muffins. There were also two huge martini glasses (you know the size you put something like chex mix in for a party) filled to the rim with cookies! So, so pleased that I didn't even have a tough time with that. I went in with my card just read and my goals in the forefront of my mind.
Had a FANTASTIC workout. They are gradually getting more intense again, which pleases me. I was even able to do a full minute of super high intensity/rep on the battle ropes (military fitness ropes). Those just kill.
Dinner was another small victory. We go out every Friday night with my BF, Kevin. Ron suggested Thai food. I immediately balked because of the sauces and sweeteners used in Thai cooking. Then I realized I can navigate any menu, so I said, yes, let's. I ordered chicken satay with cucumber salad and a chicken larb salad to share. Great flavors! Perfect weight loss friendly foods. Happy man!
I had to chuckle when I read Shel's post referencing her husband. Last night Ron told both our trainer and Kevin about our food program - how we are eating whole food, healthy, et****pt my mouth shut. For dinner he had an order of coconut rice. Before dinner he had a large hot chocolate. Sometime late in the evening he was "hungry". He asked if we still had the Hershey bar one of my students gave me. I told him I had taken it to school to give to one of teachers with kids. He was so disappointed so I reminded him he still had a box of cookies in the garage pantry. He went and got them and plopped down 5 chocolate mint cookies on the table between us. I smelled them and reminded myself that even one nibble would trigger me and undo my hard work of the week. That was all it took. The craving was minor and fleeting.
I am down another .8 today making it 5.6 since Monday. Water weight or not, this loss is motivating.
I am making a recipe for low carb waffles this morning. 21 grams of protein, 2.5 grams carbs. Ingredients: egg whites, coconut flour, baking soda, sweetener (optional). Boom! done. I will add vanilla, because IMO all bakery/cakey things taste better with vanilla!
Best news of the morning: My client cancelled! I have the ENTIRE weekend without clients. YAY!!!! The more I understand taking time for one's self, the more of a goal it is becoming to carve that time out for myself every week. I may even get a little massage tomorrow!
Greetings Gallant Maintainers
Good to hear that everyone is in pretty much an "up" mood. I am too in spite of not sleeping well. At least I can sleep in most days if I can't get to sleep at night for awhile. I usually lay on the sofa which now has a down comforter and watch can with the sound low. All that bla bla bla puts me to sleep. Dr. prescribed a different sleep med which I doubt will work but will try.
132 today. Hubby is in his recliner snoring and puppy is on his lap watching him intently. Like she expects something will happen.
Yeah we are in the area of the super rain storm and some areas around here are supposed to get 10 inches of rain over the next few days. Lowland flooding predicted. Will have to find indoor stuff to do. (Read: clean the house of junk)
Good Kairk to hear some positive food stories from you. We all need to mark that post for when we feel hopeless. No offense intended but if Devon can decline a cookie, we all can.
I am doing a dog sculpture series. Seeing my husband sleeping in his recliner inspires me to do a sculpture of a dog in a recliner with a drink. Kairk I have already made an airedale figure reading a book. Might be more of an Irish terrier depending on what glazes I can come up with.
Good Grief, 5:45? I only get up that early for airplanes. Thats prime sleep time for me. Maybe today I will check out health sport as I can go free with my medicare supplement.
Well gotta go pick up new med before small town pharmacy closes. That means getting dressed though in this place no one would bat an eye if I showed up in my pj's.
Here's to good attitudes. We all need more of them. Diane S
