Happy New Year! January 1, 2017!
I hope you all had a safe New Year! We were home returning from friends in our old neighborhood before 10. We had to drive 1.5 hours so didn't want to be on the road with the crazies.
116.25 - Didn't eat too bad though I did probably have a bit more wine than usual (spread out and way before driving).
Enjoy your New Years Day!

I'm old because I was in bed and asleep before 8. Too pooped to party.

Now that the plumber is finished, I plan to start the year out by driving up to the shop in the woods and pouring concrete in the ditch we busted out. I don't like to do concrete work but am so thankful that is possible with extra pain meds. 2 years ago it would have been impossible to get the bags of quickcrete in the car. Did get the shower for the airstream closer by fiberglassing the back of the seat. And coating the front with fiberglass resin. It looks good just needs to be cured before installing.
Happy New Year!

131 OTD. 1 lb. to be back at goal and 8 from being at my Goldilocks #.
Head cold still lingering but was able to make it out for the movie last night. Went to Fences - a good movie but a little heavy to be bringing in the New Year!
The boys had fun at the party. I did use ear plugs but still had to get up at 3:30 to tell them to be quiet. Five 13-14 year old boys sound like 20 people! Man were they loud!
Nothing special other than church planned for today. Will probably nap to help rid my cold before the work week.
May 2017 be all that you want it to be my friends!
Happy New Year Friends!!!
i said wasn't going to weigh but of course it got the best of me and I stepped on this morning. Progress is I didn't step on last night when we arrived home!!! I am up a pound ...still in the 160's. I'm calling that success.
We watched the ball drop at 11pm and went to bed. I chose to stay in bed this morning while Andy went to church. We will be taking the Christmas decoration down after he gets home; also the usual Sunday chores. We're off tomr and then it's back to reality!
Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Happy New Year!
watched the Ottawa celebrations and were all tucked in by 10 pm. This year Canada is 150 years old, well, the Canada since Confederation.
The gov is promising all kind of celebrations but as of last night they promised, for New Years Eve in Ottawa, the biggest fireworks celebration in the past 150 years. Great news eh! But we saw the first 2 seconds and then that was it as the screening went dead. What??????
i am trying not to be cynical. A New Years Resolution.
Happy New Year, my friends. I hope it brings everything you need (and more)!
No weight, still in compression gear which also makes it really hard to type. I ate more sugar yesterday than all of the rest of 2016 combined. Yesterday, I just felt mindful. I knew what I was doing but was ok with it. Today I feel guilty and feel the pull to have a full on internal rumination debating my actions from all sides. I think that is a waste of time. I would rather look ahead whi*****ludes returning to simple eating.
I don't really do resolutions but yoga is all about intentions and giving it voice, even if it isn't out loud or shared with others. For 2017, I am looking to move outside my comfort zone whi*****ludes a zillion non-food areas of my life.
DD's friends are still in the house, but (of course) asleep. My revamped guest bedroom (my personal/secret yoga retreat) is a hit with the that age....heaven knows they need some zen for their frayed teenage brains.
FInd your intention, release it to the world!

Happy New Year! I am up a pound +. No reason either. Terribly sore from my Friday workout, so that probably accounts for most of it....
Today is put away all the Christmas stuff day (except for the tree which Ron likes to leave up until Epiphany (the 12th day of Christmas I think). We will also try to get in a movie.
Our NY celebration with friends was nice. We were home by 10:45 or so. However, at midnight neighbors about 1.5 acres away shot off a great many fireworks. Loud and boomy fireworks, too. All the dogs reacted. The puppy dealt the best - he barked angry warnings to the mysterious booms. However, two of my girls were basket cases. Blue, who has never over reacted to fireworks was beside herself last night. She was so stressed out it worried me. She finally jumped in the bathtub and stayed there. I stayed with her just to offer a sense of security. I was honestly worried about her having a miscarriage. She kept looking at her vagina and at one point I thought I saw her have a contraction, but I can't be sure. This morning all is back to normal and she seems fine. Hopefully, it was just the stress of the very close by fireworks.
Needless to say, I was up far too late. It was almost 2 am when I trotted off to bed. I'm kind of tired this morning. I stayed in bed a full 7 hours, but I in no way got a full 7 hours of sleep.
I hope to make today a great start to the new year. I hope you all have positive days planned, too.
Greetings 2017 Journeyers
Well another year in the history books of maintaining. I think this group has been going on for about 6 years as I started it after I reached my goal weight and thought "Now What?"I am so grateful we have an active core group and I hope lots of lurkers. You lurkers, make this your year to get active in this group. You don't have to report weight. Just thoughts and questions. I look forward to checking in every day.
Well, down a half to 132.5 so I will take that. Raining today and big storms predicted. There will be snow not very far inland. My friend who lives 5 miles inland was telling me to get my 4 wheel drive suv all in shape because it was going to be killer. She forgets I grew up in Nebraska and drove in loads of snow with just front wheel drive.
Well, we watched a lot of football yesterday as the college season is about over. Didn't care who won (sorry Huskies). Its odd that they moved everything until tomorrow so there could be pro stuff today. Phooey on that.
Well Dave, you must be so proud of all the work on the airstream. Bet you can't wait to get in there and enjoy it. Will your wood shop have a dust management system? At our clay studio its something we are very conscious of. We do not have an air handling system but damp clean all the time to keep dust down.
We went to bed early, I didn't even watch the ball drop. There wasn't much in the way of fireworks so I slept right through. Kairk, sorry your puppies had a rough night.
Not sure what to do today. Plenty of chores to be done but I feel like napping with the dogs. More coffee will help me decide.
Cheers to the new year. Diane S
Happy 2017 to all of you in my maintenance family! I'm at 116, which I hope will be the highest I see before settling back down to something south of 115. The last time I actively went into weight loss mode was a year ago - to shave off the holiday pounds, which had taken me up to 118 (my red zone). Hoping to shave off those excess pounds by simply returning to more 'normal' bevaviour. My trusty scale will let me know if I'm doing enough to make a gentle correction. If not, it will be back to formal weight loss mode within a few weeks.
We had a quiet NYE at home watching movies and eating popcorn with DD. We all went to bed right after welcoming in 2017 :). May we all have a peaceful and happy year, regardless of what life throws at us!

Happy New Year !
I'm back in my target zone and officially retired !! I spent the day organizing my home office and adjusting my Reiki/ Yoga room to incorporate essential oil diffuser and a realignment of the TV so I can stream yoga routines. Sadie and I went for a fabulous walk !! My first day back consulting is Thursday. Boot camp starts tomorrow at 5:45 AM, and I'm totally psyched. My retirement dinner/celebration is Thursday the 12th. I'm going to totally love this new phase !!
