133 OTD. Going in the right direction, finally! Calories good yesterday, choices only so/so. Did well until the evening and then "splurged" a little.

Up and at em' early today, have to be at work at 6:30 and I have a little bit of a commute!

Have a great day friends!

Excellent Paula!

117 - had a good day yesterday after splurging the day before.  Plan to work on being careful today too as we are going to get together with friends again the next couple of days so food choices probably won't be optimal.

DD is having relationship problems with the guy she is living with - he cheated on her! So angry with him but just being supportive of whatever she decides to do. DS wants to know why I'm not being active in giving more advice (he is) and I told him that's not my role (it is his and her friends). I'm there for her regardless of what she does (though I do want her to move out and kick him to the curb!).

Leaving in 5 minutes for pre-op testing for PS in 1.5 weeks (@6:30).  I took the earliest appointment to get there and back prior to the commuters (hospital is 1/2 hour away).

Have a wonderful Friday!

Struggling.    Very tired but happy.  Lots of visitors plus the family who are here for a week.   Too many cups of tea and.........

not much walking unless you count those between the fridge, stove and table.   Need to at least get outside.

Family came by for coffee.  No other added calories.  Went up to work a little on the shop in the woods.  No busting concrete but busy enough.  Hope to get some airstream steps today.

Good Morning!  Sadly, our last day here.  It's been a wonderful time of relaxing, good conversation, movies, dominos, shopping and food.  Yesterday, we traveled to White Oaks to a pottery shop owned by Ivy Heymann.  She is out in the middle of no where...off the grid.  She owns 15 acres and basically built her studio from the ground up and her adobe one room house over the years.  It's simple but beautiful!!!  We just happened upon her the last time we were here and this time she invited us to her home for vodka shots...lol. She is a hoot!!! I love her stuff!  We have a couple of her bowls, a mug and now a napkin holder.  She's making me a butter dish.  Anyway, it was a highlight of the trip.

I have no scale here.  Basically, eating what I want and knowing full well I'll pay the price.  However, I'm pretty calm and decided I'm not weighing when I get home for a few days...we'll see.  Regardless, I'll get back on track Sunday.    This is progress to be back on track right after vacation.  I'm planning to go into weight loss mode.

Have a great day, everybody!!!

Good morning,  a slow start to my day here.  Slower than I intended but apparently what I need.

121's.  The Chex mix is now gone because I personally polished it off this morning.

Onward..

Shel

It's okay. We still had cinnamon bread from Christmas morning. I looked at Ron and said, "Do you want some french toast? At least then the bread will be gone." So I made us each a slice of cinnamon french toast. And now, the cinnamon is gone.

Well, I've had a deliciously relaxing and do nothing morning! Weight was the same today as yesterday.

I have consciously not really tried to lose any weight this week, but instead to keep things in check and out of binge mode. I also have to sit down and really figure out the value of being thinner. I know that sounds kind of trite and touchy feely, but that's the only way I can see making some lasting changes. I also have to seriously look at why I return to sugaring up when I know doing so can set up a binge pattern that lasts for weeks or months. I have been avoiding these tasks for about a week. It's hard and in a way I don't know why I want to be thin beyond the fact that all my life I have wanted to be thinner than I was. I should figure out, too, that sense of sadness that wells up when I write about my weight journey or read here about your journeys. See, all sorts of crap comes up around this topic. I guess I should sit down and do some journaling to sort through things. Too much convoluted thinking and emotional backdrop to get into again here. LOL!

In dog breeding if one doesn't have a sense of humor and resiliency you just don't last. I've had to learn that over time. I see how helpful those same qualities are in this journey. We must have the ability to be amused by our own peculiarities and have the resilience to come back fighting again and again.

So, my family of the maintenance board, I wish you resiliency and humor a plenty in the coming year!

Don't you dare even think about leaving us Devon! Not sure why I got that out of  your post but just don't!
