116 OTD.  Thankfully I didn't lose any more weight yesterday. Colonoscopy went well - clean as a whistle, but I was queasy and sleepy all evening.  I tried to eat more or less like normal (they told me I could), but I think that contributed to the queasiness. Lots of air needed to depart... anyway, woke up feeling good and am having coffee with half and half (yeah!). On the weight front, I bought myself some size 0 pants from ThredUp because some of the size 2 things were big.  What's up with that???

I hope you all have a wonderful day with your loved ones.  I think we should all get a pass on having angst about our weight or eating today.  Enjoy the people you are with and remember all the good times in the past with those who are not here anymore.

Merry Christmas Eve!

My immediate family did most of its celebrating on Eve.  Christmas day we were always busy with at least one of our large extended families, frequently traveling between the two.  I miss those huge gatherings.  But now I see them on facebook.

My mom's box arrived and did not contain as many cookies, etc as usual.  I know she hadn't had time to do her usual holiday baking but there was also a part of me that I wondered if she gave me less than my siblings LOL!  Anyway, smaller volume is a gift --- I honestly believe I am more triggered by volume than any particular food macro.

Enough about that!  Time to put on some Christmas tunes and prepare for the family festivities tonight.

in the words of Aretha...Joy to the World!

Shel

Merry Christmas Eve!

Still hang in' in the 160's

It's been a good week. Thursday we made a trip to Trader Joe's.  I'm in love with that store.  It's Devon's fault that Cowboy Bark landed in my cart...lol Saving for our trip to share with friends. We bought several healthy options and some not so healthy... turkey meatballs, chili lime burgers, smoked salmon. We will be set when we come home from NM with good stuff.

We have two church services tonight...Andy plays piano for both services. I need to get laundry done.  Christmas Day with my parents...

Wishing each of you a Merry Christmas and Peace in the New Year!  Thank you for sharing your lives with me.  My journey is enriched because of you!  I hope the new year brings us a freedom we've never felt before!

Love. Peace. Joy.

I can't remember, do you have relatives in New Mexico?  I do remember talking about New Mexico chili :)

When I did an internship in New Mexico (Zuni) I biked quite a bit but remember days where it snow, too.  Safe travels.

No relatives.  We travel with friends.  Last year, we were snowed in for three days.  It was heaven!

Happy Christmas Eve!  116 for me, which is no surprise after eating salty pizza that almost killed me from the resulting thirst!  Dashing through the snow - haha lots of it this morning - to go into wor****il store closes mid afternoon.

Sending DH and DD to grocery shop in my absence. Just the three of us for the holiday, so doing our usual ritual of going out for su****onight and cooking a duck tomorrow.

Things are feeling rather glum around here as we will all push through this latest setback with DD. Upside is that it made gifts easy - paid some of DD's long overdue bills for her instead of buying a bunch of stuff.

Peace and joy joy to all of you!

133.4. We had pizza last night too. I'm not sure why I even bother - it doesn't taste good anymore. Shrimp and lobster tonight - much more my style!

We celebrate on Christmas Eve, so food and gift opening tonight. Tomorrow we will go to church and have a nice ham dinner with baked mac and cheese - my kid's favorite. My Mom's recipe but I can take it or leave it!

Well, not much has changed since last night, except I'm up a pound. Okay, I will not worry about today or tomorrow, but I must dial it back next week. I have been far to liberal with my eating overall and not even close to enough water and liquid. Thursday and Friday were mostly coffee, which is very unusual for me. I generally stick to a cup in the morning on one in the afternoon - that's it. Yesterday I had 3 large coffees - 2 from Peet's and one Red Eye from Starbuck's.

Have one more run to the market for fresh baguette this morning and then must get cooking. My family celebration is tonight, as well. We are more informal on Christmas Day. Will go house hopping to be with both families, but first will have a nice post church brunch here at home. Always best to eat a healthy and filling brunch before going to houses of Christmas Cookies and Cakes and Puddings. Both families this year are doing buffet-pot luck type of meals. Those, as I've said, are very tricky for me to navigate successfully.

Merry merry everyone!

God Rest Ye Merry Maintainers

Its Christmas Eve, the sun is out, and I am enjoying some excellent coffee. DH is no where to be seen. I think he is off trying to buy chicken livers. I make a mean chicken liver pate at Christmas and yesterday I could not find any chicken livers after checking several stores. I asked him to go early this morning and look for some. I usually get frozen ones a little earlier and guess I should not have waited. Oh well, may be a pate free Christmas.

132 today. Hey we had pizza last night too. I ran a million errands in pouring rain and at the last store in search of liver it was after dark and I dreaded cooking so I bought a frozen pizza of relatively low calories.

Good news!  Hubby just showed up with chicken livers! Two stores were out but at the third the store guy was just unpacking them. Pate for all!

Heres to a great holiday to all with minimal food damage. Celebrate in a skinny way.   Diane S

greetings all

Well the pate is made and Tesla had her first taste of liver. I think she approves. Now on to the chunky applesauce, gift wrapping and cleaning up kitchen mess. diane s
