Drive-by - in Boston today.  117 OTD. Actually trying to eat more because I am having a routine colonoscopy on Friday so have 1.5 days of no real eating coming up. Have a wonderful day!

Morning everyone

this time of year is such a food struggle, not the actual food so much because while sometimes it does 'call' it is dealing with the host's and baker's feelings.

" oh one little piece/slice/helping can't/won't hurt."    Etc. Etc. Etc.

If I say that am gluten free one host felt  terribly guilty that she had not prepared anything appropriate and kindly gave me a plateful of fudge.

This is a hard time for everyone concerned I think.

Happy Mindful Tue!

121's.  My mantra at work has become "practice saying no, practice saying no."

We have a serious amount of homemake treats in our break room  from our baker patients.  I'm not about deprivation, but I know that my mom also baked and that box will likely arrive today.  Also, we have a couple of family events over the weekend.   So, I choose (mostly) family treats rather than a hastily munched work treat.  (Trying to fortify my resolve before I go in.)

Liz, you go enjoy some treats! Don't be bony!  I say that because I sometimes look a bit ribby and personally am not a fan.  Muscle good, ribby bad.  Maybe I do need a cookie....  And you remind me that I need to schedule a colonoscopy.

Love and hugs,

Shel

PS, my husband took giant pecan pie to work :)  I am not convinced it was originally intended for work but good for him if he changed his mind about eating it at home by himself.

Cold temps remains.  Sun is shining so that is a plus.  On my last colonoscopy they said my colon was so clean I would never need to have another one.  DW says they never said that.  Must have been the drugs they give because I remember it. The prep is the worst part of it.  Carbon, how do you get 12K steps on bad knees???

Diane S, we have a roasterie about 13 miles from us, Rozark Hills Coffee. I would buy Kaladi bros. and Peets coffee online when I was working it was nice to find great coffee that I didn't have to pay for shipping.  The owners have been in a business of roaster repair and building.  They built starbucks first roaster.  Later built one for their own roasterie in the little town of Rose Bud, AR. Their DIL took over the roasterie a few years back and make a 5 bean espresso blend that I use in a french press.  It is wonderful.  I also like their Guatemala variety.  It is about time for another cup.

Because I know you all will want to google it

http://www.rozark.com/

And yes, it appears they do mail order.

Dave, have you tried any of their flavored coffees?  Quite a selection!

I have not tried their flavored coffee.  I can add flavor to it but to smell it brewing makes me nauseous.  I am such a coffee snob.  Yes they do mail order.

Thanks for the link. I put the coffee I wanted in my cart, but had to say no, once I saw that the cost of shipping was $2.70 more than the coffee itself! Brought the cost of a pound to over $23.00. Can't pay that, even as a coffee snob!

Freight can get ya for sure.  If I couldn't have found this place I was left to drinking ... Foldgers. (He said with a gasp)

Peet's is really good coffee.  I swear they sprinkle it with crack.  It makes me palpitate if I get too much.

Luckily, I have a Peet's very close to home and another one on the way home from school. Is it bad that I know where all the Peet's are in a 10-15 mile radius? Because I do!

Weight exactly the same today as yesterday....

Well, folks, apparently I have a very high tolerance for stress. Shrink was rather blunt with me about my level of stress being over the top and given my history of food use to cope it was no small wonder to her that I am in a state of wanting to use food 24/7. Guess I gotta figure something out. Sigh...

I suppose I have just gotten used to this ongoing level of stress and it's become the norm. As I like to say, "Boooooooooo!" I wish life was easier.

Have no coffee in the house. Must get cleaned up and go to Peet's. This decaf of Ron's is not cutting it.

Linda - where are you??????
