118.75 again this morning. It's nice to be home instead of in a hotel, but part of me was looking forward to the break in schedule (sigh...).
I'm going to be in my WLS center's annual "reveal" meeting tomorrow night. It sort of "showcases" patients at or near goal. They display the first day picture (yuck), then the patient comes through the room all dressed up (like a fashion show sort of). I went to this meeting one year ago when I was just beginning my journey and was very inspired.
I hope you all have a good day!

Wednesday is here! All downhill, now.
120's this morning. I have been converting our guest bedroom/storage area to my own secret yoga room. It will still function as a guest room but I like having a space of my own with aromatherapy, dim lighting and apple TV.
Dave, I need a pup report!
DianeO, yes, second opinion! So hard to find the wisdom to know what to do.....it will come to you as you collect information.
Kairk, here's a sleep artilcle from NYT's. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/30/health/insomnia-online-the rapy.html?contentCollection=smarter-living&hp&action=click&p gtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=second-colum n-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news
Have a skinnylicious day. I'm finding it helpful to think about all the germy hands that have reached into the treats in the break room.

Interesting article. I fall into the interrupted sleep category. However, even though I wake up multiple times per night, I do get back to sleep most of the time very quickly. There are times when I am stressed or upset that make the waking much more intense and prolonged. I think I average 4-5 times per night waking up and being awake enough to look at the clock to see what time it is. Last night I woke up shortly after midnight, then sometime just before two, again at 4:16, then I was awake on and off from 5:15 until 6:20. That is a pretty typical night for me. Has been for years. So, it's not like I wake up and can't go back to sleep. It's waking up and quickly falling back to sleep multiple times per night. I guess I'm just too much like my dogs - always on alert! LOL!

China dog is feeling much better today. Day before yesterday she got in the airstream and wouldn't come out. She thought that was a pretty good dog house. Yesterday she was eating again and today she is sniffing the boundaries of the yard and guarding the front door. Marble is still throwing up some but he is mostly fine. Chronic issue. It is worse with cheap food. We buy pretty good food but they get out and eat stuff they shouldn't. Bosco crawled up in DW's chair and chewed up her reading glasses. He does that out of the blue. He has chewed up 3 of my headphones. He is the softest, friendliest, easy to pet dog we have ever had. So what are you going to do?
Liz, the before and after spotlights are one of my favorite things of WLS. They are so hopeful and inspiring. My other favorite is NSV's.
Shel, your yoga room sounds inviting. I have built man caves to get away to study/ hibernate over the years. (Seek peace)
Carbon, I'm all about the bears going to sleep but I don't think I could handle walking much if I knew they were around. We have poison spiders and snakes but that doesn't seem to bother me much.
To all with sleep troubles I feel for you but I don't have much of an issue with sleep most nights. Better sleep through pharmacology but I have always slept well. I do wake early most days.
To all of you that are having to face the holiday treats. I rarely have issues with candy, that is my DW's issue. I have more than my share of nuts and yogurt temptations. Keep trying to walk on by those tables!

Good morning all. Holding steady at 114. No candy nor evening eating yesterday so that's another day of winning to string together with the others. I've never faced a daily treat barrage at work before and I'm super happy it will be over soon.
Actually, I'm pleasantly surprised at the healthy attitudes my work colleagues have towards their bodies and food. As you might expect in that environment, no one is overweight, but there are certainly lots of body type variances among us. It's refreshing to be with a group of people who have positive thoughts about their bodies and those of our customers, many of whom are overweight (but not obese) and who have proportions that don't fit clothing easily. It's really satisfying to send the vast majority of customers out the door with a much more positive attitude towards their bodies and clothes that look great. How cool is that?!
Another very cold day in Calgary but I'll be tucked inside relaxing for most of it. Nice to have a couple of days off to spend time with fam and get a few chores done. Oh and our cat Bailee is thrilled because there seems to be a mouse in the house. He's busy with round the clock patrols. Of course I want traps set but DH and DD are enjoying Bailee's efforts. I will win. Soon. Lol
Liz, what an honour to highlight your accomplishments. I'm sure you will look fabulous but I can't help but wish I could be there to style you!!
Peace and hope.

203 upward tick when I was hoping to get back to the 100s. Gotta work.
Been thinking a lot about the NSVs since the S is being troublesome. It used to take my breath away to push the gas release button on the floor of my car next to my seat. I'd take a breath in, blow it out while leaning forward (usually letting out a groan), press the button then flump back in the seat.
This was one of the major things on my list that I wanted gone, along with similar troubles putting on stockings, socks, tying shoes, anything requiring bending. All gone.
I still get a kick out of cutting my toenails with ease. And wiping my butt.
