Good morning,
Wt 227 but less 227 than yesterday.
We have 2 sick dogs. Marble has stomach problems that he take daily meds for but it is worse. Clean up on isle 3. China was bitten by something and has whelps all over her. Her face and neck swelled up and we had to cut her flea collar off. We started prednisone. If this doesn't turn around soon we will have to go to the vet. I built her a fire in the wood stove in the shop. It is not down to freezing but thought it would make her feel better. She normally has a brooder light over her bed that keeps her toasty but she was all snuggled up in front of the fire. I'm getting over a cold. This is the 2nd one this year. Yuk. But I'm better today. Hope everyone is better today.

morning everyone from someone who is looking outside at the falling snow. Not impressed one bit. And it is down right chilly.
Nice doggies Dave, hope that the sickies get better soon.
was given another step counter and our 12 year old friend was the only one able to set the thing. Would it not be grand if you could just say, to inanimate things: Step-counter it is 2 pm Dec5th. And voila! It would be done. Have I been watching too much Star Trek episodes?
ate 5 cookies and that was the only thing all day other then two cups of coffee. Cookies now out of the house. No walking at all.
Life does go on. This week has three Christmas gatherings. Oh the challenges!
Leap, sorry the dogs are sick - poor babies! I have my second cold this year too and usually don't get one more than every couple of years.
Carbon, I can't have certain baked goods in the house EVER or they go right in my mouth.
Weight 118.75 this morning. No more weights until Saturday, as I'm traveling on business this week (leaving tonight and returning Friday). I am bringing some foods with me (made sure the hotel had a refrigerator), but don't really know what meals will be. Have written notes for DH and posted them all over the place. I haven't traveled for a while, and am realizing that this time will be difficult for him. DS will be home Wednesday (he is trying out for jobs in VT today and tomorrow in addition to the weekend ones he has done). That means DH will be alone from this evening through Wednesday mid-day, so he should be able to manage.
Have a great Monday!

Lord, the scale went up this morning. Really????
Well, I am well prepared for on plan eating. Roasted a chicken last night to have on hand and boiled eggs for me, and the dogs. I also have plenty of salad makings ready to go and some berries and a couple of apples. Cupboards, fridge and freezer are cleaned out of high value sugar-carb foods.
I'm considering weaning myself from artificial sweetener. The only thing I use it for is to sweeten my Greek Yogurt, so I don't use much, but I was thinking that perhaps my "sweet gauge" is in need of a reset. I've not decided one way or the other. Just an awareness.
Occurred to me yesterday in the late afternoon that I've been a little out of sorts (depressed) for a few days. I am hoping that my commitment to clean eating will help elevate my mood.
We have our first day of winter fog here today - chilly and damp. I sort of like it, but it will get old after a few days, if it keeps up.
Dave, I'm sorry about the pups. It's always tough when the four legged kiddos are not well.
My 5 year surgiversary is this week. To be honest - as stupid, non realistic, self defeating as it may be - my impending anniversary is reminding me of my shortcomings and failings rather than the things I have accomplished. Damn, my faulty wiring!
121's today, 2 year follow up today with surgeon.
Dave, I am so sorry about multiple (!) pup illness.
Kairk, good luck getting started with your plan. Congratulations on your current success!

Greetings Lovely People
Could't wait to post today that I am down to 131.5. Have not seen that in awhile. I can only explain it as less cheese for the past week or so.
Carbon glad you got a new step counter. I do like mine even though I forget it half the time.
Dave, sorry your dogs and you are sick. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery for all.
Well Kairk, I suggest you give yourself a pep talk like you might to a student who was discouraged about getting a B+ after usual straight A's. You seem too hard on yourself. We are all rooting for you. And living in the fog zone myself, I sure know how those days can make you feel down.
Liz good luck on your trip and family.
Holiday show going up at the gallery. I made a polar bear mother reading to her cubs. Had a million gallery duty items last week and some this week but far less. Good to get a break from it.
Had pot roast last night since my friend came over for DH computer help. Also green beans. We all have food issues - she is allergic to a lot and DH and I just have to watch the calories.
Well thats about all here. Life is pleasantly dull in our little hamlet by the sea. Peace and Hope. Diane S
129.8.
DH, knowing how much I enjoyed the Costco dark chocolate sea salt caramals, bought me a 2 lb. jar and put it in my office - Lord help me now!
I think I need to take it to work so my co-workers eat it up instead of me eating it all! No resistance when they are sitting right here saying, eat me, eat me!
Still a little fatigued. Going to try an easy treadmill workout tomorrow to help jump start my activity a little bit.
Dave - sounds like it is time for some updated Airstream pics!
Linda - I want to see pics of the best sellers at your store!
Everyone - how about some more pet pics!
Love you all!
115 this morning. Just got in after a long work shift so I'm tired but happy to report that I've stayed out of the treats for the past few days. A co-worker has just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes so I told her I was going to be in solidarity and stay out of the sweets, which she loves too. Ummm unfortunately she's still eating some, but I'm not. Right?
DD has been doing reasonably well emotionally but has been experiencing bad anxiety the past few days. It's hard to witness, but we do our best to support her. She has been a good help around the house, taking a good bit of initiative which of course she feels good about.
DH is healing and is allowed to put a small amount of weight on his foot now. Still casted and crutched, but doing well. He will remain off wor****il after Christmas.
So much cool stuff in the store for the holidays! Lots of sparkle and unfinished lace. I just bought a rose gold sweater that looks a bit like chainmail. Looking forward to wearing it. Won a sales contest last weekend so more free denim earned. Giving this pair to DH.
Sorry to hear some of you are feeling the effects of poor health one way or another. It's tough for sure, and we will all get through our struggles, for sure. Hugs
LINDA
