TGIF December 2
I know it was a short work week, but it felt long. Had a tetanus/whooping cough vaccine at the PCP on Thursday and felt sick yesterday and this morning (happened last time I had one too). Going to MGH this afternoon to get the results of my husband's second neuropsych evaluation. I hoping they don't say he has to stop driving (hoping it can hold out until I retire). I know he has changed (which is why our retirement plans changed completely).
119.5 this morning. Should have had more calories yesterday but didn't feel well enough to seek them out. At least in the stage I am in it seems like eating has much less of a priority than it used to. I hope it stays that way (but I'm not counting on it). I'm hoping that getting into good habits for meals and snacks will work for the long run.
I hope you all have a great Friday!

Morning everyone.
Calories 1398 but half of them were eaten at 2am . Sleep is such a problem.
Walking for an hour.
Volunteered to stand by a Salvation Army kettle. Thankfully it is just inside a foyer. Am old enough to remember when those stalwart members stood outside no matter what the weather.
Happy Friday everyone.
Easing into the new program. My plan is to hit it with full integrity Sunday or Monday. For the past 3 days I've been following it well during the day, but allowing myself to be a bit looser during the evenings. Last night the pull for sugar was very gentle. I'm thinking that by the end of the weekend, if I continue as I am, the transition to no added sugar will be done and have occurred smoothly.
Down 1 pound this morning.
Got to bed before 11:30. Woke up several times during the night, though. However, I do feel more rested than when I go to bed a midnight. Work out was good yesterday - Cardio and stretching only. 2.65 miles on the elliptical.
Shel - I did not know until I looked up your Crow thingy that my trainer actually has me doing some yoga positions for core strengthening. Let me tell you, I am a whiz with Bird Dog. He has me alternate sides 20 times at a very slow pace. I remember falling over the first time I tried it! Now it's fun to see how long I can hold it on each side.
Hope the weekend is filled with pleasantness for us all.

Well up a half to 133. Kind of surprising because I was pretty active yesterday as we had to move all kinds of stuff around so the ant guys could come in and treat the house. They use some stuff that is made from chrysanthemum oil that is supposed to be totally safe to people and pets and warm blooded creatures. So far seems to work. House is an even worse disaster since we had to move stuff off the counters and bathrooms and its all stacked up all over the place.
Gallery duty again today so more walking in circles.
Great Plan, Kairk. I am impressed by the energy and determination you put into this. We can all draw a lesson from you. Good Luck.
My medicare supplement actually allows me to go to this one health club for free so no excuses. Gotta check it out.
Well I am running late. Maybe more blathering later. Diane S
116 yikes! Lost in the candy at work. A big pile of homemade stuff there for customers (and unfortunately staff) that owner makes every year for us. Some of you know that candy is the one thing I've refrained from eating ****il now) due to my complete lack of control so it's a real issue for me. The genie is out of the bottle. Every day is a fight.
Also not feeling my restriction for the first time in a very long time. I'm going to need a protein only reset but cannot yet name the day. Kairk, props to you for laying out your plan and getting into it at this time of year. It will serve you well in protecting you from additional regain, especially if you have puppies on the way. Especially glad to see you addressing sleep deprivation.
Home today, feeling very tired. Maybe I'm just too old to work at this pace! Hoping to be in a position to ask for some scheduling adjustments soon! But with that said, I like the work, my coworkers and the clothing perks :)

120's today. Had a doctor's appt today (who didn't even weigh me, the dirtbag) but the big one is coming up on Monday when I have my 2 year post VSG appt.
I bought a Joule Sous vide. Yet another way to cook protein is what I am telling myself. I am cautious about waking up my desire to try new recipes because it easily slips into dysfunctional eating. And heaven knows it can cook a lot of other things besides protein.
Of course it does yogurt, too....I'll probably give that a try this weekend. Can never have too many things to make yogurt.
Its a tough time of year for food choices. Hoping that I don't fall apart after the Monday appt. Maybe next year I'll schedule the annual closer or after Christmas.
Hold you skinny tight! Shel
