Bear in the yard! ACK! Though, I'm not sure that is any worse than rattlesnakes on the porch or playground. At least the bear is pretty obvious. Sometimes I don't see the rattlesnakes until I'm almost on top of them.
Paula, nice boobs and arms and eyes!
Down a pound. Food was pretty on track. Am still having a few afternoon sugar cravings, but that's no different than the past 20 years!
Plan to lose is almost set. I have a bit more figuring out to do logistically, but I'm pretty clear on my direction. Once I'm set, I will share, if anyone is interested, but I'm going a more conventional route, rather than a post WLS approach. At 5 years out (very soon, anyway) I have come to the realization that other than having a small stomach, I'm not so much different than I was pre VSG. I don't have the metabolic boost that we all get immediately post surgery due to the swelling and hormonal changes. Losing weight now again is a lot more like dieting pre VSG, but without the hunger issues. I'm also much more educated about nutrition, satiety, and metabolic issues which makes it easier for me to navigate.
As any truly messed up pup would, I'm having some emotional twinges about food, what I've "allowed" to happen once again, etc... The emotion is all part of the process, but on a personal level it is a bit sad. 5 years ago I had such hopes that I was "forever" done with this part of my life. I was so excited and delighted and determined to succeed. I have those nagging thoughts that I blew the gift - even though I know I've come so far and learned so much and that I am so far ahead of the game than I was 5 years ago.
Apologies for the peek into the psyche. It helps to write it down and put it out there.
I am always interested!
As always, try to be kind to yourself. As a chronic disease, there is a lot hard wired for us to work around. I hope you can "feel" your success soon.

Eager to hear your plan and learn from your thinking. You seem to be focusing on a framework and direction as opposed to a rigid set of rules.... we do learn so much about ourselves. The things we resist knowing often are exactly what we need to identify and work through. You've got this !!

132.5 today. Any no gain day is a good one.
Paula you look awesome. Great job. Go shopping for more fun clothes like those.
Yikes Carbon, a bear in the yard! Yeah you gotta get another fitbit. I am on my fourth though its because i lose them or run them through the wash. You know you want to count steps.
Worked at gallery #1 yesterday and am off to gallery #2 this morning. Lots of gallery shifts between now and Christmas. More walking in circles. Its been really cold (for this place anyway) and I have to take lots of extra layers and coffee.
Liz I was losing too much weight and put a stop to it with a daily blob of peanut butter. But beware, it can become a bad habit and send you in the other direction.
Well off to a morning of walking in circles and playing iPad games.
