I'm sitting in the airport at 6:10 am.  Up at 3:30 with very little sleep.  Luckily my driving is done for the day (though I need to work from noon on).

Had an offer accepted on a condo last night (direct with the seller - no realtor involved).  We are buying in the park our friends live in. Closing on Feb 6, so we will probably drive down and my husband will stay for a month or 2. With friends in the park he will be ok without me (I'll stay the first week or 2 - as long as I can get away with working from home).

Ate many calories yesterday - stress and celebration!  Tomorrow's weigh-in should be interesting.

Have a great day everyone!

Exciting moving to a new place.  Good that you already have friends there.  DS#2 moved to Lakeland, Florida a few months ago.  They are liking the jobs and pace of things.  DS#1 are in Chicago and are to see Hamilton tonight.  DNL#1 never gets sick and never really gets away from this very small town.  Ticket to Hamilton and she is in bed in the hotel.  Eating has been more into the nuts and yogurt this past 4 days.  Wt is steady @225  Plan to cut firewood for exercise today.  House sitting is easier this time.  No goats. Fox in the hen house and only 5 left out of 40. Still 4 cows, I feed them in the mornings and not much else to do with them.  4 cats and 3 dogs that are mostly inside and comical.  They all use the dog door.  3 of the 4 cats come and go all night.  I find moles inside where they have "played" with them. Have a great Tuesday.

Good Morning !

Still 139's.  I want to get down to the lower end of my range before the next phase of challenges.  My retirement countdown, which I'm not actively doing.... written in my calendar... shifts into the teens on Thursday.  Retirement celebration dinner 01/12/17. (I requested after the holidays, with plenty of advanced notice for my family.)

Thanksgiving Saturday would have been my Dad's 89th birthday, and was the 10th anniversary of his death.  Working to deal with genuine sadness in a non-stuffing way. Not stuffing feelings is still a new skill for me... work in process.

"Not stuffing feelings is still a new skill for me..."

While it may not be a new skill for me, it's one I certainly have not mastered! On Sunday, or Saturday, I got upset about something (so not important in the big scheme of things now I can't quite remember what it was) and my first reaction was to get something to eat. Definitely a work in progress in this area, too!

What is your "official" last day. I seem to remember you have to come back for a single day or something like that. People in our district do that, too, and I have not quite figured out why they need to do that.

Liz, that is so exciting!  And it must be a relief to have it settled.  What a whirlwind few days you have had!

DianeO, good luck with the whirlwind that is no doubt coming your way!

Dave, there should be a "House Sitters" reality show.  Nuts and Yogurt companies would be the major sponsors.

122's this morning.

Keep your skinny closer than that lemon cake on the kitchen table,

Shel

Morning everyone.   All seem to be doing well.

a rough few days food wise, and Fitbit quit again.  Annoying.

continuing to walk and today all the baking ( and sampling ) leaves the house.  Have done my part in keeping the schools and various organiztions full of sugary, fatty treats.   ( everyone seems to be having sales for students travelling for sports, cultural events)
