VSG Maintenance Group
Tuesday - Nov 15
Today is DH official birthday, but no specific celebrations tonight, though DD #2 is coming tomorrow night. 121.5 this morning - good calories and walked dogs a good distance. Unfortunately it is supposed to rain today so exercise may be minimal.
Counting down the days until time off (turkey day)! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning all!!
138.2. Another day off work for me. No exercise as it will be a recovery day from 9 mile run yesterday. I am actually going to check out the running store about 30" away and get fitted for running shoes for the first time. I've turned into a total running geek!!
After that I am meeting my mom for lunch at a delicious Mexican restaurant. I usually get a burrito bowl or tortilla flat without rice and have enough to bring home two more meals.
I hope all of you are well and happy! Hard to stay motivated and on track this time of year but we've got this!!
Heather :)
Highest Weight: 268 pounds. Surgery Weight 248 pounds. Current Weight 142 pounds. VSG 8/24/15 with Dr. Havaleshko
Weight same as yesterday - still too much! Hehehehehe
Up too late finishing report cards, but they are all done. Now to gear up for 22 conferences between now and Friday afternoon. That's an awful lot in 4 after school sessions. I have a feeling I won't be heading off to the gym today, tomorrow or Thursday.
Need to do a little better with food today and A LOT better with water. I only had 32 oz of clear, fresh water. Not enough! I also need to eat more veggies. I've been negligent for two days eating mostly protein and carbs. Also, not so good.
I'm glad to see everyone's posts. I know we are all over the map in our journeys and I really enjoy knowing that we support each other no matter where we are or what we are experiencing on this road we travel.
123.8. Good considering I am not tracking food, exercising or eating particularly healthy. Not awful food choices mind you and portions thanks to the VSG are always controlled, but could be better.
Have follow-up with my PS this afternoon. A small area on my left arm incision has opened up, not sure what he will want to do about it. Will probably get scolded for not letting him know about it right away (happened last Thursday night).
Itching is much much better. Still using some hydrocortisone cream but not nearly as often. Last prednisone tab this morning. Still have Benadryl if needed.
Enjoying the company of my puppies. They are the sweetest girls. I was crying in bed last night (more troubles with DS#1) and Emma (the black one) was licking my tears away. They know when their humans are hurting!
Here is to a better day for us all!

Yes they do. We call my fawn Italian greyhound "Dr. Baby P-Nutt, paging Dr. P-Nutt" because he always snuggles up to where you're hurting. If it's sadness, he's right on your chest with his head under your chin. If it's a stomach ache, he's a living heating pad lying across your middle.
He is not a therapy dog, but he was allowed into my parents' rehab hospital and again when my son-in-law went there. P-Nutt is a rock star there, the therapists, workers and patients remember him and he greets them all.

208. Still sick as a dog. My doctor told me to go to immediate medical care for antibiotics after work, but my son made dinner, then the couch swallowed me whole and I went to bed after watching 2 episodes of the Walking Dead (don't tell me anything! I'm only on season 3).
I feel better than I did yesterday. I don't think it's pneumonia and if I develop a fever or burning in my lungs, I'll go. I think it's almost done with me. Let's hope.
