122.25 - feeling like "clean-out" day is coming. Day 2 of DH birthday celebrations, with 10 for dinner tonight. Not sure how to set up for this many in our little Cape on the Cape, but we will manage. Went to a great restaurant in our town called CSalt last night (Falmouth MA). Had 1/2 of crab cake appetizer and was satisfied (but also had 1/2 of piece of bread, bites of desserts and a glass of wine). Not too bad...
Probably can't weigh tomorrow because scale is in room where DD and boyfriend will stay tonight. Certainly can't weigh late in the day after food and water! I might have to forgo on Thursday when other DD is here.
Husband has a new routine: Falls asleep downstairs (that's not new), but comes to bed after leaving all lights and TV on. So I wake up at 3:30 to use bathroom and have to go down and shut everything off (dog is wandering around trying to figure out if it is time to go to bed or get up). Back to bed for me, but sleep is elusive at that point. Sigh..
Have a good Saturday!

Youngest son to marry today. Family in to attend. Will eat out somewhere for lunch. Simple outdoor wedding by the river. Very rustic. She and her family seem like wonderful people.
Stopped the new meds for the second time. Decreased dose adjustment didn't work. Maybe I can get some airstream steps in tomorrow after company is gone. I need to find my muse to work so I can finish this project up.
Liz, You might try writing a reminder note or list of bedtime routine. Place it where he will read it before he is all the way in bed. Sleep is so important for both of you. Or you can do like my son has done in his house and put all lighting on timers so every light in the house turns off at a preset time. All computer controlled. Very star trek-ish.

125.8. Like Liz I feel the need for a bit of a clean out as well.
Itching a bit better but still there. It is odd, I get shooting stabs of itching along with the general itching. It is very nerve related. I think the PS messed up my nervous system.
Going shopping with a friend for a bit today. Hope I can tolerate it well both from a itching stand point and a fatigue stand point.
Stabbing itching! Very cool ;) But, it also sounds miserable. Do you have drains? The pain around my drains was very zing-y but went away the moment the drain was pulled.
But, if the stabbing itching continues, maybe something like gabapentin starts to make sense.
Have fun with shopping, just listen to your body if it tells you need to rest more later.
Did your husband hear about that Florida job?

Hello My Lovelies,
124s today. Lots of steps yesterday but still no yoga ....I think that makes 3 days in a row. That's ok, I think I had a bit of overstrech going on. The slight ache from that is now gone so ready to restart today.
I want to start spring cleaning the kitchen cabinets. I'm always behind.
Welcome to legal marijuana you newbies! Even tho I voted for it, I have to admit that the sight of dancing sign-men outside the recreational stores give me pause. The one closest to me happens to be on a favorite walking route for me and DD. That store is sandwiched between an ice-cream shop and a mini-mart --- both of which are very popular with the kids. Well, when they turn 21 I guess another treat will be readily available. (I suppose it is readily available if you know where to buy.....no dancing man required.)
One last thing about marijuana, once legalized, there was a flood of admissions (confessions?) of patients letting us know that they judiciously use it so that it would be included in medical records. Many of my patients are in their 70's, 80's and 90's. The 90 year old had her 70 year old daughter buying for her. Almost none of them smoke it....many other options available.
Peace and hope,
Shel

Weight up a 1.4. Not surprised given I sat in the car for 11+ hours yesterday.
What wonderful posts to read from you all this morning. Uplifting, positive, joyful. I need to get me some of that today! LOL!
Paula, the stabbing itching has to be nerve related. I've had similar, but without surgery. As you heal I'm hoping it goes away. Gabapentin might be the answer since it interferes with nerve signals. Vet prescribed it for Ace when his tail was docked a few weeks ago. Ace seemed completely pain free.
Dave, enjoy your son's union and the festivities.
I am going through a weary phase. I am tired of being strong and resilient and being "the rock" among my friends. I can feel a wall of distance building itself between me and those close to me. I have also caught myself a few times this week noticing someone thin and long legged who presents a pleasing silhouette and thinking either "I hate you" or "fu#*@r" to inwardly express my envy. Not my finest moments. I shouldn't really admit to these thoughts - they are so unflattering - but I figure if I can't be real here, what's the point, right? Anyway, what to do? Where to go?
You all seem to be in such great places. Perhaps I need to hate the lot of you, too! Just joking!
