and even more rain. This really has been the year of storms.   Our community is primarily based on hills so fortunately flooding is rare.

Happy US election day!

127 this morning.  Restorative yoga yesterday.  This is a class where poses are held for 3-5 minutes which would typically become painful.  But, it is restorative which means that you have your body supported by something like a bolster (giant pillow) so you can relax into the pose without discomfort.  Delicious!  Equally good for gently stretching and for relaxation.  Honestly, everyone in the US  needs to have a giant bolster delivered to their house to help detox from this election.   Now that I think about it, everyone in North American deserves a bolster for this election cycle!

Find you ease/effort balance today.  I bet a bolster would help....

Down about a pound - not quite. Food was fine, but

Feeling some anxiety today. I think it could be election angst. When I feel this way I also have food-weight-self image weirdness going on in my brain. I found myself being drawn to a website that promotes an eating style and exercise program (for a fee, naturally) wondering if that was the key. This both a good and a worrisome thing. Worrisome in the sense that there is still a part of me that is looking for "The Answer". The good thing is that when I get this way a strong commitment to a healthy way of eating is usually very close behind.

Positive note: Ace's tail is a okay. Just too long in a bandage. Vet was actually pretty pleased with the healing process.

Hoping my pensive mood lifts.

I also would like to lose 30 pounds over night and have the body of a fitness model. Just sayin'!

132.5 still. Tesla got a good walk and we had another dinner of the roast pork loin. Delish.

Well its sunny and 66 degrees here on the lovely north coast so no disincentives to vote. But California is not one of the critical states so I guess the weather elsewhere is more important. We are sort of political junkies and don't know what we will watch on tv every night. Probably old Twilight Zone episodes as hubby is partial to all sci fi.

Glad Ace's tail is ok. Tesla has a little cowlick of hair on her head. Makes her look like a unicorn.

Off to vote as soon as I finish this and coffee. We have so many propositions here in California its ridiculous. We never have lines at the polls in our dinky town but we might today.

Gotta go buy clay today. Comes in 25 lb bags. I can barely lift one of them now. Can't believe I used to walk around with the equivalent of 5 of them hanging off me.

Enjoy your skinny day all. If you are fretting, remind yourself of how it used to be before vsg.

201.4.  sigh  My daughter was in the hospital during the weekend.  She has Type I diabetes with gastroparesis and high blood pressure.  She could not keep anything down, including her blood pressure medicine, so she needed to be hospitalized just for that and they got her sugar under control.  When they would not release her, she had nobody to take care of her children and half-paralyzed husband who is recovering from a stroke...except for me.  It is too stressful for my mentally ill son because my son-in-law falls, so he stayed with a cousin.  It is too stressful for me, but there were no other options.  I missed work again, and will be docked again, but I got my 401K withdrawal and paid some of my bills.  My eye is twitching.

My daughter is home and feeling better.  My grandkids had fun with Granny, and my son-in-law was forced to become closer with me, but I did not change his clothes.  It was only a couple of days.

All in all, I did pretty well food-wise. I brought protein bars and a roast to cook in the crock pot. I killed it exercise wise with plenty of steps and a lot of heavy lifting. I dropped my son-in-law once, but he did not get hurt or angry.  He is a big guy and I lifted him and moved him pretty well except for that one miscalculation.

I totally missed out on the extra hour!

124.4. Had first post-op appt and got some stitches out.Voted and now watching MSNBC from my perch on the couch. May need to nap soon.

Interview went well for DH. It is between him and one other. May even hear by the end of the day if he gets the job offer. Lots of changes and decisions in our near future. I think DH is feeling the weight of it all. He predicts a sickness coming soon. Stress is awfully hard on our bodies. We've all experienced that.

Praying that all who are feeling the stress of life get some relief!

Oh Joey, wish I could send you a giant teddy bear to soothe your issues. While I wouldn't blame you if you ate off plan, just remember that you need to stay healthy to help these people who so need you. Please reach out to friends for help. All the best.    Diane S

Wt 221  Cal 1300

We got a drizzle but could use a rain.  Burn ban issued.

We voted.  Wished we had better choices.

Got my mom's knee injected this morning.  With the little bit of extra care my mom has needed I can't imagine the stress of others with multiple family health issues.  You need to be mindful to also care for yourself or everyone will be in trouble.

Sitting in a closed lane on the highway in Boston - fun, fun.  Have been sitting for about 20 minutes now.

122 this morning - good calories and dog walks yesterday.  Will be low cal today probably if I ever get home, but little exercise.
