my MIL asked me this weekend if I know exactly what medications she takes.  I said I don't know.  Not a proud moment.

Hey everyone!

136.8!  New low weight for me and I don't know what to think of it!  Glad to have a little cushion going into winter and holidays, but sometimes I get overwhelmed too.  Just trying to eat and live healthy!

Speaking of which...ran 8 miles this morning! Who am I??  It hurt like hell but I'm proud.  Shortly after I got a text from a friend looking for a runner to complete their triathlon relay team next September.  So I will be running a Half Marathon on September 10th.  A little nervous but tons of time to train and a fun goal to keep pushing myself towards.

My love to all of you...make the most of the day!

Heather

I use to love running - in my late 40's.  That was the last time I was this thin and kept it down for almost 2 years until I lost my daughter to cancer.  I still wish I could just take off, but I'm too afraid of what would happen to my knees now (almost 12 years later).

I'm so sorry about your daughter Liz.  I agree you wouldn't want to just take off and do several miles, but why not start with some walk/run combos and see how your knees feel?  Could be they would be painful, could be that they would do just fine!!  They sure don't have a ton of weight on them right now!!  Perhaps you could rediscover your love of running!

Greetings Good Souls;

Well its another 132.5 day. Seems to be the new normal. Got a dog walk in yesterday but forgot fitbit so its like it didn't count. Will get another one today since it is dry and not windy. I should be leaf raking too but it hurts my hands too much.

Liz hope your son gets a job he wants soon. Its hard to get started sometimes.

Good for you Diane O for recognizing the connections from acid to carbs to sweets. Another neuro pathway.

Hubby is off to costco. No telling what he will come home with but I hope for the yogurt I requested.

Made a roast pork loin last night. It was delicious and I ate a little too much of it. Roasted it with carrots and apples. More tonight.

So hard to deal with aging parents. My mom has good care and crazy roommate has her own care now so things are more quiet. Still I jump when the phone rings at odd hours.

I am back into my "grape" thing for lunch. They are filling and healthy and abundant right now. Into the green ones these days. Perfect with a bit of cheese.

Well hang in there great maintainers. Its all within your power.   Diane S

Hi all,

Feeling lots of anxiety and stress today. I'm guessing it is from lack of sleep. I slept very poorly last night. My pup's tail isn't healing as expected and it got me all on edge and I a very fitful night's sleep. Probably not more than 3-4 hours total. Booooooooo!

Weight is up. There is no eating behavior reason for it, so I am having to let it go and just assume it's because I have been rather unproductive in the loo and food may have been a tad salty at dinner (I put flaked smoked salt on my beef - YUM).

My planned activity is shot all to h*ll because I'm going to run the pup into the vet so the tech can have a look see. I'm hoping they don't need to throw in a few more sutures.

However, the plus for today is that even though I've had little sleep, my stress-anxiety is active, I have been completely on point in the food department.

NEW FIND: Halo Top ice cream. Pricy ($5.50 a pint), but worth it. The entire pint (2 cups) for most of the basic flavors is 240 calories, which = 60 calories per half cup. I tried that Arctic stuff once and disliked it quite a bit. The Halo Top really is ice cream. The first ingredients are milk and cream instead of water and whey protein. Just sayin', if you need a little treat, this one might be the way to go, but it does contain sugar alcohols - I know some are sensitive to those. I, luckily, am not.
