I can't believe it is November already!  It is COLD this morning (35).  Working at home again today, then the next 2 days in the office, so I will be a late poster (or not at all) Wednesday and Thursday.

123.25 this morning.  Ate more almonds than I should have yesterday, but otherwise food wasn't bad.  Fitbit not as happy as I was chained to the desk from 7-4, but I did take the dogs for a brisk walk (time to find the gloves).

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone!

141.0 today.  Not scheduled to work til 10 so was able to get a 3 mile run in this morning.  Froze my butt off but proud of myself for not finding an excuse.  I got an email from YMCA yesterday that I finished 2nd place in my age division for the 5k and they are sending me a medal...how cool is that???

Off to work- yuck!

Good luck Paula and have a great day all!

Heather :)

November 1st and I forgot to weigh today. Must be a subconscious Freudian slip up because I sort of sugared up yesterday. Not horribly, but enough that I was not impressed by my behavior. I can think of 10 excuses why I ate chocolate, but the truth of the matter is that I made a choice to eat it - plain and simple. However, in my defense I will say that I asked Ron to buy nasty azz candy, but he failed me. He bought 4 bags of peanut butter M & M's and Kit Kat Bars. Those are delightfully edible. Damn!

So feeling a *****ubby today (understatement). Then I find that one of my coworkers has posted a picture of me as "Iron Man" on FB and some of you have seen it. All I could think of was, "Oh crap, they've seen the belly!" and my stomach did a flip-flop. Silliness. Oh well, pictures don't lie, do they?

I am feeling cautious today since the Eating Season has officially opened. My lunch and snacks are packed. My meals are planned. I am well armed to face today. I will most likely have some mild cravings this afternoon, but I am prepared for them. Looking ahead to my January 4th weigh in.

I must find a way to nourish my soul during my stressful times. At the shrink yesterday when talking about stress and food and the like I suddenly craved a cigarette, which I haven't in a long while. The only thing that really concerned me about the craving was that the craving illustrated how dependent I am on foreign substances to ease my stress. Rather than freak about this, I consider this additional useful information. Knowledge is power.

Wishing Paula the best of outcomes and recoveries. As I mentioned, having my eyes done after WLS was a decision that still pleases me to this day.

Linda, I'm sure you will get used to the physical portion of your new job. Remember, you have a lot of emotional work on your plate with DH and DD right now, too. That stress can add to your physical exhaustion.

Heather - way to go on your 5K! You must be so pleased by the information that you were 2nd in your age group. Hell, I'd be doing the happy dance!

Diane O., I know you're lurking. You know we'd love to hear from you, too. Be well, friend.

To all the peeps here: Let's face this Eating Season with strength and resolution together. Willpower alone is often not enough to get us through. Together we are stronger than alone.
