123 today despite having 3 glasses of wine last night - bad idea, as I have a headache today. I'm still getting used to low tolerance, but it was really great wine!  Next time, I'll have less.

Went to the gym yesterday with DH - did cardio and weight machines, trying to concentrate on my butt and arms.  Arms are a little sore today but not my butt, so does that mean that my butt is in better shape than I thought or my arms in worse shape?? Anyway, going to Zumba in a couple of hours.

Morning everyone.

wonderful to see Momsy and Teasha posting.   Kairk I hear ya!  Stress and keeping all the balls in the air is hard work, and one of my teacher friends said the same thing but he was on the other side, a relief teacher.  He appreciated so much the teachers who had detailed plans for him to follow as opposed to those who didn't.

Food has been good while away, but steps minimal.  Yesterday got in 8997 so that was better.

Liz you are doing well.

enjoy Sunday.

Happily I can report that weight is the same and the upward trend has been arrested. Food was so-so yesterday. Stellar up until dinner. At dinner had some noodles and a slice of pudding cake later for dessert. (Ummm, where did pudding cake come from and why have I never had it before? It's fairly evil - like a super moist pound cake done in a ring. At least it did not awaked cravings.)

Ella is home! I did not realize how much I missed her until she was home. The bad news is that she seems to be in season (one without outward visible signs) and my two boys are absolutely F'ing beside themselves! Ace at almost 7 months is not exactly sure why he is so enamored with his aunt, but he is behaving like a horny pre-teen - happy, goofy and dealing with feelings he just doesn't quite understand! He is absolutely charming and maddening at the same time. Ella's father has been around long enough to know what's what and is quietly pining, but understands why he is being confined. Ace hasn't got a clue why he's being abused with confinement.

I promised myself I would do some protein preparation for the week today and I'm going to stick to that. I'm thinking of making some egg scrambles (I'm not much for the egg bites these days) and seeing how those keep. I'll make some chicken breasts and I think I'll grill a tri tip, too. I'm going to work on sticking with protein, eggs and yogurt this week with vegetables and daily blueberries. This is always a tough go after I've been loose with the carbs, but it really is time - jury duty or not. I caught my reflection in the window on Friday and then again yesterday and I'm not comfortable with the image that I saw. I looked overweight. Blech..... Ron alluded yesterday hat he wants to eat better and the only way that happens for him is if I lead by example. He doesn't seem to know or want to know how to manage losing weight independently.

So there you have it. The saga moves ever onward. Isn't that a wonderful thing? The way I see it the alternative is rather bleak!

Greetings Powerful People

Well i am at 132.5 again and not feeling so powerful. But its my doing and my responsibility. Had some chicken with orange sauce last night. I think its not a good choice so I am going to throw out the rest of it and go get some plain chicken.

Plus gotta take the puppy for a walk. We both need it. We are probably going to have to "rake" the living room to get up all the pieces of cardboard she has chewed up. Better that than shoes and furniture. Its a sunny day so no excuses.

Yesterday was devoted to watching football (huskers won again) and laundry and picking up junk in the living room for Halloween Party. Smaller group this year but just as well as we now live in a lavender kennel.

So glad Ella is home. We are waiting for Ms. Tesla to come in season for the first time. No intact males here anymore but still creates havoc.

Time for more coffee. Cheers all.  Diane S

Quick post to let you know I'm still alive. DH had foot surgery on Thursday and he's home but non weight beating for 6 weeks. Work and ensuring he and DD are okay is keeping me busy! '114 after salty popcorn last night. Oh and way too many drive by chocolates at work yesterday.

Hi all!

143.0.  A little salty/carby last few days.  Inlaws head out tomorrow so looking forward to returning to routine and getting in a longer run.

Ive been at work all day today, inlaws have my car so waiting for hubby to come pick me up.  He's making me miss the Patriots game so he'd better hurry up!  I will have a few football snacks tonight inevitably but will try to keep it reasonable.

Love to you all!

WT 221 cal ?? haven't been tracking as well but not out of line.  Tried to start my chainsaw for a trimming job for my SIL.  Sore muscles and very brief trimming makes me realize how out of shape my upper body is.

Liz, I am a real lightweight when it comes to wines. Only 2 or 3 times since WLS but bad, even a half glass.

Kairk, pudding cake can not live at my house.  It has been a family recipe for years.  Hope you are released from jury duty soon.

Linda, Hope the healing process goes well for DH and I hope for you he is a good patient.

Diane S, We have 3 dogs but no puppies. Tesla sounds like a ball of pure energy.

126 today...not great eating yesterday or today.  Not a nightmare, yet (mostly too many roasted sweet potatos), but could go there so shall just turn it around and not try to make up.  Yoga'd and good step yesterday.

hatha yoga today, good class tho crowded which I try to be ok with.

The bigger news is that I found fleas on Buster.  So, we are in flea mode.  That means my DH has fled outside and DD is holed up in her room as I run all fabric possible thru the laundry.

Irritable today, I am.  personal space challenged at yoga and fleas at home.

This will pass.

I'm glad Ella is home, too.  Liz, I am sure your butt is in fine shape...work those arms! :)

Onward!

Shel

Shel, I have a dog named Buster!!!  He is a beautiful black lab.  He got fleas and hookworms from the same kennel last year, I was pretty much insane for a few days!  Needless to say we have a new kennel.

I feel your pain!!  :(

I wanted to name Ace Buster, but it just didn't fit him like a glove. Ace truly works. My dad had a Buster as a kid and I have always LOVED the name. I just need to find the right dog to fit the name/!
