205. Plugging along. Today is my baby grandson's 8th birthday. He and his older brother will be 8 for 6 weeks until the big boy turns 9. My son-in-law is still in the rehab hospital awaiting brain surgery to reroute and reconnect his blood supply following his massive stroke almost 2 months ago. My daughter sprung him earlier today to surprise my grandson at the bus stop. (He is making amazing strides.) They are then picking up my son and going to my grandsons' favorite pizza joint where I will meet them, so pizza for dinner tonight. No money to order anything else, so I will have a slice of their super thin crust pizza then make myself a protein smoothie when I get home. Bananas are already frozen.
This has been planned for a long time, luckily I was able to scrape up some money so the baby is not disappointed. I planned my food so I will not be disappointed when I step on the scale tomorrow... I hope.
Oh, I love having my new scale!!!! It is calming and focusing. Up a pound. Perfectly fine and deserved.
Little bit of mindful, but mindless or indulgent eating yesterday - minimal though. Stressful day: jury duty, then back up to school, sub plans, emails, getting field trip set for sub and parents, then home. It was FABOOOOOLOUS TEACHER DAY yesterday. Was given a huge box of cookies and a bag of candy. Candy and cookies went to the lounge, but I did take 2 white chocolate chunk macadamia cookies. I savored them.
I did get in a decent workout, thank goodness.
Then later after the debates and feeding the pack I had to go over to my pop's house and test smoke detectors, replace batteries, and still one was beeping. It was maddening. After disconnecting the hardwiring, there was still beeping. I flipped. The. My dad says, "I wonder if it's this?" Pointing to his CO2 detector. This, of course was after I asked if there were any other detectors we might have missed. At least problem solved and I got all detectors wired again and new batteries installed. Grabbed a handful on mini Trader Joe's oatmeal cookies he had on the counter and a square of chocolate.
