Good morning, mates!

125's, yoga'd yesterday with ok steps as well

Carbon, bears and fudge!  You live in a dangerous neighborhood :)

Devon, so Ella is basically at a boarding school during show season?  Plz explain this part of dog culture.  Does it hurt to see her bond with her handlers?  I am sure she has plenty of love to go around but still curious.

And Tesla will eventually be a mommy!  I hadn't thought that far ahead.  DianeS, when you have a spare minute, could you provide an updated Tesla pic?

Shel

Ella has been with the handlers since mid July. Yes, she bonds with them and it's wonderful. It does not bother me at all. I see her after she shows and she loves me up and down. She is a very sensible dog and after our time together she goes willingly back in her crate. She will come home at the end of the month. I generally do my own showing, but this was a big deal and I wanted her to have her best chance. Her best chance is with pros who do this for a living. They dedicate themselves day in and day out to conditioning and training the dogs. Not everyone who has show dogs is willing, capable, or talented enough to groom, condition, train and handle their own dogs. Handlers do all that and the good ones make a pretty good living at it. Make sense?

oops, posted reply as new thread

Greetings Gregarious Group

130.5 today. Then I got weighed at the doctor and was like 136 or something with clodhopper shoes which I don't bother to shed and jacket and such. This is the internist and he thinks my weight is fine and Dr. C is nuts for wanting me to lose 2 lbs. BP and all that stuff checked out and platelets back to normal. So now that I have medicare I am especially healthy. Go figure.

Hey Devon congrats on the 5 point major. Thats a big one. I think I told you my breeder's male got winners dog and I am sure it was a 5 point. So fun. My cairn once got a 4 point and then went BOB over a special.

Well if you are what you eat then I will turn into a piece of cheese or a chicken. Made a costco run today. Seemed odd not to go to the pharmacyAs it was always the cheapest place when I had no drug plan.

Purple house is done and not a minute too soon as the winter rains are beginning.

Hope all is well with everyone and no one is having a food freak out. diane s

Congratulations to your breeder! Any win on Montgomery weekend is huge! My old man Airedale, Jackson, earned his first major (and points) by winning the terrier group at the Del Monte Kennel Club show. There was a major in Kerry Blue's so since he beat the best of breed Kerry Blue, he was awarded the major, too. Sort of like best of winners only better! Ella has two 5 point majors. She did the same thing as your Cairn. Beating the special tipped the points over from 4 to 5. It was a pretty cool win!

How long ago did you have Cairns? I bred them for a while. Fun little breed, but not too obedient!

Came home and just sort of "vegged" last night.

I am still without a scale. Actually, I think I am thankful about that today. I know I must have put on some pounds while in Pennsylvania. As I said, too much sugar. Hopefully, by the time the scale arrives, I'll be back where I was when the first one broke.

I am on track today, though I'm shy on water. Need to gulp some down.

It is a sad day at my house. Our two bay windows are being removed and being replaced with regular boring windows. I could have saved the one in the bedroom, but it would have still had problems. We could not close the window in the dining area and to fix it we would have had to hire a contractor to take the roof off of the bay, cable the window to the house, re do the footing supports, then repair the window hardware. To replace both windows would have been about $9,000. I'll spend thousands on the dogs, but not on bay windows! Ha.... priorities must be somewhat skewed when is in the dog fancy. We are an insane bunch!
