Hi!  I just joined this group hoping it will help during maintenance.  It looks like you all post what you feel you need to watch closest as well as issues which you need to cope with?  Do most of you weigh daily, weekly, periodically?  I'm trying to figure out what will work best for me.  I can't weigh in the morning every day as I leave the house for work at 5:15 am 1-3 days a week for work and my balance scale is in the basement (too big to be upstairs and too cold to go down there at 5 in the morning).  OR am I just making excuses and should move the scale to the spare bedroom I dress in (husband is retired so not up until way after I leave)?

Welcome Liz! So happy to have you join us!

I way daily (okay, multiple times daily - it can be a bit of an obsession). Have you thought of getting a digital bathroom scale? They are not too pricey and super simple and fast to use. I have this one and it is on sale at Amazon right now https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A8SLH8I/ref=oh_aui_sear ch_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1

We have become a nice little family here and you will find great support and great information. We have a nice mix of vets and newbies!

Hey Liz,

Welcome!

Post what serves you best!  Occasionally a post seizes the groups attention and we focus on it together.  Much of the time, even if I don't add to a particular post, I recognize myself in others' struggles and it is just nice to see that I am not alone.

I generally weigh daily, mostly for accountability but also just to keep in mind that the scale number jumps around for no apparent reason.  If I weighed less often, I might be overly disappointed by a number not realizing that it was a weirdo jump up.

Welcome and congratulations on meeting your goals!

Personally I need to weigh daily.  Seeing that daily weight and also reporting it to this group is great accountability for me.  In the past I've lost weight but once I fall off the wagon I just let it run me over several times!  This time I just make small corrections and have been able to stay on course.

I've only been in maintenance a few months but have learned so much in this group.  It's a great place to ask questions and to be with people who share the same journey and struggles.  I don't always contribute but even reading it helps.  And the maintenance vets have given me so much support.

Look forward to getting to know you!

Welcome to the VSG maintenance group.  I have found this group a great support and a place where I can be accountable.  I personally weigh every day and count everything I eat.  I post my weigh and calories but it is not a requirement.  We are here for support, post what you want.  Look forward to your posts.
