morning everyone
steps yesterday were 8698 so was pleased with that. Not the greatest food day, calories 1323.
we moved offices yesterday which was 'loads of fun'. So many many many books.
Went to see my own physician and am on a wait list for a cortisone shot, and am seeing the actual orthopaedic surgeon in two weeks so that he can put me on a longer wait list. Each trip to see the orthopod, takes two days so of course that entails hotels etc, food, gas etc.etc. Talked to Revenue Canada and was told to keep each and every receipt and hopefully can claim some of this back.
We shall see. Have become quite a cynic.
happy Thursday everyone.
Welcome to the cynics club. I've been one for years. I do hope you don't have to wait too long.

Past 36 hrs filled with frustration except for sleep. I wanted to eat the stress. But realized what was happening. Here is to making beneficial choices.

Good morning!!
Carbon, sorry you are having some frustrations but so glad you are taking steps to heal yourself and have less pain. Dave, way to go recognizing the urge to use food in a stressful situation, that's so hard for me and I'm very impressed by you!
140.2. I'm off today so just did a 3 mile run and now a day full of doctors appointments and soccer games for the kiddos.
Enjoy the day my beautiful friends!

124's, yoga'd yesterday, steps in bottom of acceptable range
I have been feeling fat. Funny how that is because clothes are fine/loose and I don't see fat. Just feel. This makes me hungry. As I put away my daughter's laundry, I pulled on her jeans and they fit except they were a bit loose in abdomen (thank you, LBL) The giant holes in them were windows to my loose leg skin but overall I was pleased. I took them off and the fat feeling returned. Some people's bodies squawk with change in barometric pressure. Maybe I have bariatric pressure messing with my head.
Otherwise, today is going to be good. I think I can get in an walk between work and curriculum night at the school. No time for a yoga class.
May we all find non-food comfort today,
Shel

Carbon, so many wait lists! I am especially surprised about the wait for a cortisone shot!

Greetings Gifted Gurus
132 today. GRRRRRRR. I made these little teeny quesadillas for dinner last night. Ate two. Guess I have got to get over this fixation with mexican food and back to better protein options. Ditto cheese fixation.
Well the rain has stopped and it should be clear all week so the painter can get done.
Yeah stress = eating for most of us. Things have been pretty calm on the family front so I am sort of scared to call and check up. But its always something
Yeah the older we get the more cynical we can become. Carbon I hope you can get some relief soon. Waiting for healthcare - Waiting for Godot.
Well I think I will make Popeye pie tonight. A healthy option.
Hubby is sitting in his recliner reading his iPad with two dogs on his lap. Quite the scene.
Everybody try to take a few extra steps today (except carbon you have plenty)
Peace and Health. Diane S
Yikes late to the party. 115 this morning. Was off today - had coffee with a friend and then spent most of the day running errands, including a long overdue bra fitting and purchase of several.
Very early morning ahead, with need to be at work and fully made up at 7 am prior to television show modeling. Then a busy day at work. Rinse and repeat on Saturday.
All the best

125.4 today. Over 10,000 steps and 34 flights of stairs. Eating not the best but VSG keeps the portions down. Went to IHOP for dinner. Ordered 2 smallish pumpkin pancakes but only able to eat one. Could have eaten a large omelette and 4 pancakes in my heavier days!
Final clean of the old house today. So many memories came flooding back to me today as I toiled by myself readying the house for the new owners - visions of potty training DS #2 when cleaning the half bath on the main level, memories of bathing all three in the tub when cleaning the boy's bathroom upstairs, memories of our old lab when I was cleaning nooks and crannies in a sliding glass door leading from the kitchen to the 3 seasons room and came across some of her hair. Good memories, memories of trying times.......not sure if it is just exhaustion but the tears are flowing tonight. I really have no reason to go back into the house but think I might with my husband and any of the kids that want to take one last look. I want to have a time of prayer with them, thanking the Lord for providing us a great place to raise our children and praying for the new family that will take ownership of that home soon.
I was amazed how much I could do of the cleaning that would not have been possible 115 lbs. ago. I was climbing on top of bathroom countertops to clean overhead lights, crawling behind the washer and dryer to clean the floor and vents, hopping up on the kitchen countertops to wash my feet in the kitchen sink and just working the whole day without dying!
Looking forward to life returning to somewhat normal in the next week or two, but then I have my plastics so not sure how normal that will be! I might be adding upper eyelids to the breast lift/aug and arm lift. I'm looking angry with that extra skin over my eyes!
Thank you all for your contribution to this board. I gain so much from each one of you!
Paula
Wow, so much emotion in one post. It must have been quite an extraordinary day! Here's to making great new memories in your next phase of life!
