GOOD MORNING !!!!

a great sleep but food induced.   The flying food syndrome got me right in the mouth and ultimately on the hips.

A. bad day.   Steps were 7,887 so that was good but yesterday had to do, for me, a very very scary thing.

Fretted about it before and while it went through with flying colours ( yay me ) I embraced, nay, welcomed and actually MADE the flying food.    Did not enjoy it at all but still, down it went.

Happy Sat all you house movers/painters/renovators/daughter movers/ dog walkers/ and fellow Sat workers.

Yesterday was not very productive for me.

Little bit of excitement.  We live in a  curve in the highway.  I have replaced my mailbox at least 4 times from people hugging the curve a little too much.  Last night someone went off the right side of the road overcorrected to get back on the highway. Then shot off the left side of the road.  Went airborne coming out of the ditch and landed upside down in my neighbors woods.  The guy was standing by his truck when I got to him.  I helped get the guy out of the stickers and onto the field.  If the truck caught on fire we could be a safe distance. He blamed it on a deer.(possible)  I believe alcohol was involved.  It is a wonder that he was not killed.  He missed a head-on collision by inches.  After I returned home I was all pumped up on adrenaline .  Tried to eat too fast.  DW saw me gobbling and reminded me to SLOW down.  I did.  Makes me even more apprehensive to leave my house. Never can tell who is on the road and what they are being influenced by.

Anxiety is a huge motivator for me to eat.  Onward.

That sounds scary, thankful nobody was hurt.  Glad that your lovely wife has your back.  :)

Scary stuff, both at Carbon and Daves' places.  Glad that everyone is mostly ok.  I worry about your worry, Dave.

125, up three pounds over yesterday, I ate more than I would have liked last night (after eating nothing from 11-6pm) but, of course, not 3 lbs.  Whatever. It will pass tho probably not for several days.

Of course it is harder to pass when one makes 2 types of cookies before 9am.  I pretty much never bake these days.  I did ok (not perfect) with the dough.  I tried a 1/2 portion of the baked first batch (new recipe, so this was only proper) and will try a very small portion of the 2nd variety (also new recipe) after yoga.  That 2nd batch is a much larger cookie than I would normally ever make for me/family.  (I heartily mock large cookies)  But, these are for the x-country kids who have a meet today.  I have full confidence that they will all be gone by the end of the meet.  I am transporting a load of them (kid and cookies) to and from.

I'm on my way to yoga.  My last loving whisperings to my slumbering family was "there are fresh cookies downstairs.  they are not yours.  don't take any.  not even one."

I am considered "direct" at work.  :)

See ya later,

Onward to Downward Dog,

Shel

You worry about my worry as in you are concerned about people driving under the influence too or as in you are concerned that I worry too much??  I do have an anxiety disorder so I do worry too much.  But, We live in a dry county and people drive to get alcohol and then drive home. This county has the highest alcohol related car fatalities in Arkansas.  On the reservation that I worked on they would drive to border towns then drive back to the center of the rez.  They had the highest per capita alcohol related driving fatalities in the country.  I know how to pick all the good places to live.

The whole picture but your uptick in anxiety most of all. I had no idea about dry counties!  What a cautionary tale of unintended consequences.

Hello everyone!!

The flying food that flies down so fast it's not even enjoyable.  Carbon, at least you recognize the issue and can right back on track.  A friend of mine made cookies for my kids yesterday so I feel the pain, only 2 of them had wings so overall much better than the old me.

143.4, moving slowly in the right direction.  Absolutely froze in the pouring rain at my youngest sons soccer game this morning, happy to be home and warm!  We had chatted about maybe going to the movies today, but I think as a family have decided to stay in and chill.  Doing some housework but have also promised myself some couch time to relax and knit later this afternoon.  Still fighting my dumb cold.

Have a wonderful Saturday all!!

As per my late night post for Friday, there is still NO weight to report.

Busy day ahead. Two dogs to trim and then we are going to the wedding of a "child" I've know since she was in 5th grade. Damn, I'm old. She is now a full fledged family doctor. I am looking forward to the wedding.

Since the scale gods have cursed me I have taken this to mean I am not supposed to care about my weight. This fact, of course, gives me license to eat anything I wish, right? Sort of feels that way and the past couple of days the sweets are creeping back in. I do not have time to go and buy a new scale today, and I sort of want to wait to hear from Taylor to see what they say now. I'm more than a bit peeved over getting a second faulty scale.

The only thing keeping me from eating the apple fritter our friend brought over last night is that if I eat it, I'm screwed for the rest of the day. Thank goodness for self awareness! (Honestly, they are for Ron, but who needs 2 apple fritters, a chocolate donut and a maple glazed old fashioned, right? I think he needs some help!)

Feeling the pull this Saturday morning. Luckily, I will soon be far too busy to eat!

Frustrating for sure. Positive vibes being sent your way. I am watching kiddos I have known since kindergarten run. Amazingly big a strong kiddos now. I definitely won't have any leftover cookies
