Good Morning Family-
139...lots of fluid issues. Working the big guns wrap. I have to follow up on my custom compression stockings today.
Our principal is out another week, and I'll continue to be based there. The school environment is a slippery slope for me. So many deeply rooted behaviors begging to be triggered. I have no experience living a healthy school based life. I can do this.
Carbon... your mention of the cane helping made me wonder... when I first had my VSG, partly to get in shape for a total knee replacement, I got a pair of walking poles. They are like ski poles, but with rubber ends. They increased my balance and mobility, and reduced the bone on bone pain. I think they would be worth a try. They'd also be great for the recovery from surgery, as they force your balance to remain well distributed.

127.4, no scale damage (at least it isn't showing up yet). Ended up with just over 13,000 steps yesterday and no formal exercise! Work today, scouts tonight. A week from tomorrow the movers come to get the big stuff. We should have all the little things moved by the end of the weekend! Yay!
Diane O - hope that swelling goes down soon.

No weight today. Nakedness before coffee didn't happen. Also a lack of motivation because yesterday really stands out as an poor choice eating day. In between poor food choices, I yoga'd and got in an ok number of steps.
Weird schedule today so that I can can make a yoga class AND see The Debate.
School environment seems to be one massive trigger. I know it isn't just the people on this board because I can SEE that environment with my own eyes at any of the schools. The district changed some of its food policies 2-3 years ago at least for the kiddos. Before that, the teachers/aides/SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS all used foods as immediate gratification rewards. I would sit there moot, in my 360lb self, as teachers literally tossed out candy for raising a hand in class. This was every single day, multiple times per day. And I was particularly annoyed (as you can see) that candy was handed out on the school bus.
I said nothing even tho I was a poster child of why they should cut it out. Even before I met you all, it seemed obvious that they were being conditioned to associate school with unlimited treats. And heaven help the kiddos that return there as adult employees.
Anyway, those particular scenarios no longer happen for the kiddos per policy. But the teacher break rooms/admin office still look toxic for 90% of the population. I don't participate in appreciation events that involve food anymore because they clearly don't need more help in that area. I do give out small gift cards for target/staples, etc.
Have a great day! Shel

No weight for me today. Still waiting for small room progress. Sigh.
Your stories about chairs and the like brought back sad memories of my own. To this day, I still have disturbing dreams about not fitting through small spaces.
I'm going riding today with someone from my riding group that I don't know - or I don't remember lol. We're going to Radium, so a full day's ride - likely the last 'big one' of the year. I woke up super early with the excitement I feel :-) Such a blessing to still feel that thrill at the end of the riding season! Messy house can wait!

squats again yesterday. Floor finished, pics to follow. I actually made a blister on my knee. I don't think that has ever happened. and I was wearing knee pads. It was just 110 sq. ft. But so much of it had to be fitted.
