Tues. I think it is the 13th
Greetings Fine Friends
130.5 here. Must be that orbiting asteroid of a half pound. Made mini enchiladas last night again. So good but not two nights in a row. Found these tiny tortillas at 30 cal each. a spoonful of meat and chili verde sauce and some cheese on top. Pretty good but I did not add up calories. Fish tonight.
And oh yeah, had a piece of angel food cake for hubby's birthday. Thought it would be a lower calorie cake. Probably not.
Linda so sorry DD is struggling. Gotta admit to being a bit of a slob and how people can be neat all the time is a puzzle. But junk can take over your life and make it much harder because you can't find anything or use what you need. GL with this one.
Dog Chip was so naughty this morning. He was out on the deck playing the "bucket head" game with his plastic planter. Puppy was inside watching through the slider and couldn't stand being left out of the game! Chip usually plays this out in the yard but was doing it on the deck just to torment the puppy. LOL.
So a friend who is super skinny and can't gain weight was telling me that fat people may have different natural bacteria in their guts that digest more efficiently than those skinny people who never gain. So there is thought of doing fecal transplants from skinny to fat people! Think about that one. I am scared to google it on the internet. No telling what spam I would get.
But this I know to be true: eat less, move more.

There might have been a fecal study but the one that I remember is gut microbiome swap in either rats or mice. The swap changed fat mice to skinny and skinny to obese. I think they changed them back again, too.
Always made me wonder what removing 85% of the stomach for VSG might have done.....did it remove more of one kind of microbe than another? Also, I had strep when a few weeks old and was treated in hospital with some sort of antibiotic....always wondered if this affected my microbiome since I always had a weight issue.
By the way, even behavior is affected by microbiome in rodents, at least.
Here is a quick link to something that reviews this.....I'm not vouching for the website at all, but I recognize the content. http://www.microbiomeinstitute.org/humanmicrobiome
By the way, the first patient I knew that had a fecal transplant was about 10 years ago. She used her grand-daughter's poo to get rid of c-dif that had failed to be eliminated by the usual antibiotics. It was successful and is now a "routine" procedure under the right cir****tances. I think they have more formal procedure for poo collection but I don't know what it is.

hmmm, I seem to remember a story about the painter but don't remember what it was. Remember, the microbiome may affect behavior as well.....so keep that in mind in case he has a behavior you don't necessarily want :)
Or, maybe being skinny trumps all....

141.8, still losing! Big step for me this morning, tried to tell myself that I didn't have time for my 3 mile run so should just skip it. But instead went out and ran the 2 miles I did have time for! Loving the running.
From someone who joined the thread late today I will say it ranges from the very serious to the completely ridiculous...paints and poop transplants?!? Entertaining to say the least!
