Color me pissed! I have NOT been off the rails. On the contrary, I have been very much mindful and aware of my eating and tracking. Yesterday, I did go over my calories by just under 200 (I included a flour tortilla in my day and a little extra cheese). The scale rewarded my efforts with a 2 pound gain from Saturday. REALLY???? Damn MO FO of a scale (or should I say Damn MO FO of a body?!). This fluctuation should not bother me, but it does. This back and forth, though with the gradual downward trend, is not how I used to lose weight. It is taking some getting used to and I can't say I much like it. I much preferred the straight trajectory downward!

I had blue day yesterday and was pleased that I could honor the mood without eating my way through it. Granted, it wasn't easy. I had to talk myself out of going to a local bakery for a rich, thick and chewy, gooey chocolate chip cookie.

While I'm not in the rosiest of moods today, I do feel like the only choice I have is to stay the path to health, wellness and a normal weight. This is good.

I think your scale is new but maybe replace the battery?  Or at least take the current one out and put it back in.  I know that patient's blood pressure monitors given whacky reading when batteries are low.

but, yes, stay the course!

Greetings train track travelers;

Well I'm at 130 on the friggin dot so glad for that. Now if I could just get a peek at the 120's. For those of you who hit a bump in the road, keep on truckin'

House painter comes today to start with prep which is power washing away cobwebs and stuff. Ditto gutter cleaning. It will be nice to get it done.

We have a scented geranium that grows like a weed and gives off a lovely lemon smell.  Had a rosemary bush too but it got trashed and had to be removed. Another in the back. I cut them and bring them in since our house smells like dog kennel.

The breeder of my Tesla wants to borrow her for a couple of days for grooming and I think some socializing with other dogs. Fine with me. Probably work on showing stuff. Methinks she has some plans for the little ***** who is right now trying to eat the carpet. I think carpet has no calories. We could all add it to our diet.

Time for more coffee and a slug of calcium pills.  Diane S

Hey all!

143.2 today.  I'm pretty sure I've decided that 140-145 is going to be my maintenance range.  I feel and look healthy at this weight in my opinion.  A few people have told me that I look a little thin to them.  But for me, I feel good here.  Even as I say that, the addictive personality piece of me is still lured by the thrill of dropping the scale even lower. I will continue to try and keep mental check in this area.

Sorry for all of you that are struggling to stay on the tracks.  But that stupid scale doesn't define any of you or take away your hard work.  Steer the course!!!

Heather

Have I mentioned that I hate dating and I'm trying to embrace being alone ?  Today, I was up three pounds for no reason, and succumbed to school flying food. I had an annual cardiologist visit and was up eight pounds from AM weight to office visit. Leg looks like a balloon. Came home and showered and wrapped. Agh !! Oh, Diane, there are such joys in being single! You are free to live life as you choose. You get to find out just who you are unencumbered by the burdens of a less than satisfactory relationship.

Best advice I ever got was to let love happen - no sense in looking for it because it will find you when it's time. You will dance to your own music and one day you'll notice that there's a fellow dancing to the same song. Then you'll know.

Hugs.
