130.0 ON THE DOT! Up as I suspected. Will start tracking again today. Buyers have an inspector coming over today to check out the house and will have their 3rd estimate on getting carpets replaced. I'll be happy when all that is done. They will still need to have their appraiser out as well. I will head over to the rental house sometime today to measure windows for some sort of cheap covering. Not sure what I will do yet, probably just shades.

Hope you all have a great day!

Morning everyone.

Paula! I left my windows with no covering bit they are pretty high and no one can peer in.   Ocean good comment about food is body fuel.

Great food day , only 5,788 steps.

and the rain continues.    Does it seem like autumn has come early and with a bang or is it me?

No autumn weather here! It felt like autumn might be approaching last weekend, but it went right back into the 90s on Monday. Yesterday it was 99 in the afternoon. A lovely, lovely dry heat though. Can't say I mind living in shorts and flip flops!

128s    The flowing crap food still abounds... at least it is NOT flying.  That is one thing I won't miss about being in a school !!!  Colleagues are starting to come to me when they are stuck without healthy options, because they know I always have protein bars, tuna packets, almond butter packets, nuts, etc.  I'm seeing more and more people including healthy options for meetings.  What a trip.. I'm the role model for healthy !!!

Have a great day staying the course !!  Fuel your skinny !

All good here. The pound + that found me has vanished.

Did a Costco run last night. Took my own advice and stocked up on unprocessed protein: tri tip, whole chicken, chicken breast, pre cooked chicken breast (snack food). I also picked up a box of Ron's Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches. You know, most of the time those things do nothing for me, but last night they sure did call. I calculated it all out and I had the calories available, so I had one and still was under my daily max, so it was good. But it sure did make me consider the whole food addiction thing from a chemical, hormonal and scientific standpoint. Wanting that Skinny Cow had NOTHING to do with hunger or nutrition.

I'm going to push for another 6 pounds off by October 5. That is a pie in the sky goal, but for one which I will aim. I get on a plane that day for the nationals in PA. It is an AWFUL week for food so going into it strong will be helpful.

Not much else here. Have to get ready for the kiddos' arrival in a few.

May your Thursday be filled with thoughtful choices.

124's, eats and steps good yesterday

Paula, really an ok showing considering all your travel and events!  It will be nice to get the home situations settled.

Carbon, we are suddenly feeling autumn here in Seattle, too.  Most folks find the drizzle refreshing after a whole lot of summer sun.  I do miss extended sunlight.

DianeO, you ARE a role model! Embrace it, you skinny, healthy thing!

Devon, have you gotten to the part of Thin Woman that recommends that you not only keep trigger foods in the house but regularly include a proper portion most days?  If I remember correctly, she recommends that pretty early on in the process.  I decided I don't want to do that at this point and am doubtful that I will ever be that advanced.  Just thinking about it scares me a bit.  Anyhoo, she wouldn't mind your single skinny cow one bit.

Have a great day!

Shel

Nope, haven't gotten that far. I didn't read any of the book yesterday. I watched the presidential forum, did shopping and then watched one of my few guilty pleasures - Suits.

The inclusion of those foods is definitely something both my NUT and psychologist have encouraged, but they also understand that there are times when it is too problematic to do so (at least for me). Right now I seem to have a handle on things. A month ago I did not. The pull comes and goes, but each pull lasts a shorter and shorter time. This is progress.

Greetings great guys and gals

Back from my ordeal of a trip. Gained a pound but ate pizza and junk. Got my mom successfully moved to very nice assisted living. Could not be better.

The minute I touched down here in my home town I got a text that crazy roommate had fallen and been taken to the hospital. Very confused. She is being released into skilled nursing care. Talk about timing!  Fortunately friends there are helping and she is willing to go to skilled care. So she can't come bug my mom.

Glad I missed that drama but am going to have to deal with a lot of it. Thankful for phones and fax.

Hope you are all well. it will take me a bit to catch up on this group.
