129's

Earthquakes, mental health challenges, family members in flux, physical ailments, old food habits, moving out / moving in, too much to do in too little time... just some of our recent themes.

As we close on Labor Day in the states, please carve out some time to be gentle with yourselves. Do something to recharge and replenish. Reflect on some key successes, and set some small goals for moving forward.

That being said, went to a fundraiser yesterday. Did some cheese, cracker and sweets grazing with wine, and stomach was so displeased when we got to the restaurant for dinner, all I could manage was some peppermint tea.

Two dates today, meeting a man for coffee this AM, and dinner and music tonight with a friend of a friend "you just HAVE to meet" ! I'm too old for this ! Having some challenges refinancing my house, to get Chuck off the mortgage.

Good morning!

No weight for last couple days since I'm at the campground again.  Life is good here, I've been fairly unplugged, lots of knitting and campground activities.  Inevitably I've had a few treats **** cream for dinner last night- yikes) but overall not horrible.  Went for a 4 mile run this morning to help apologize for my sins!!

Diane- good luck with the dates today, can't wait to hear about them.  :-)

116. Double yowza!  Eating too many sweets and drinking too much wine.  Consumption of both have escalated and I've also developed a nasty popcorn habit. 'Nuff said.

Weather is cold and dreary here for our Labour Day weekend. Nevertheless, the RV park is full so people are making the best of it. Our campsite backs onto a pathway by the river, which also serves as an off leash area for the town. Quite lovely and Bailee is enjoying watching all the activity from his fav window.

DD came out for dinner yesterday. She made no further mention of our offer to move in so she's still mulling it over. It's seems that in her state of mind, everything is work and another negative, which is really hard to bear witness to. She's also regained weight so she understandably minimizes physical movement. Perfect storm, right?

We should be getting our house back sometime next weekend. It will take some effort to get our things back in place and get the RV emptied, cleaned and winterized. We have a lot to accomplish before DH has foot surgery on October 20th.

Might have a lead on a part time job at my fav clothing boutique!  I'm surprised they would seriously consider me because they only hire professional stylists and I'm a lot older than everyone else, but they seem sincere. Lots of people looking for work who are much more qualified than me though, so I'm trying to keep my hopes in check.

So like all of you, life goes on - the good, the bad and the ugly - but I'm keeping my head in the game.

Quick pop in while sneaking phone peep with fam to say that when Paula invited you to help her pack I started to type a comment that I could use a stylist and come on out!

If anything, your "age" will be an advantage for sales with peeps that (on avgerage) that are better able to purchase. Smart hire, I say!  You would do great.

Wt 219.6  Cal 1258

Wt is creeping up and eating has not been on point yesterday but not awful.  Will try getting calories below 1000 and see if that can get me moving back in the right direction.  All I know is if eating "right" my weight is not dropping... nuts and yogurt is not looking as evil as it once did.

Diane O, hope you enjoy the dating process.

156's...hovering here for the last several days!

Church. Walmart. Food prep. Laundry. Relax.  I made chicken tortilla soup and black bean brownies.  I was jonesing for something sweet and chocolate.   I'm off tomr and will work Tuesday- Friday.  Andy is gone tomr judging a parade so I will have control of the remote and need to work on some things for school.

I sure hope you get the job, Linda.  You'd be perfect!!  They'd be lucky to have you!

Andy did a mortgage assumption, Diane.  He need to get his ex off of the mortgage.  Hope you find resolve.  Oh! Let us know how your dates go!

Have a great evening!

Hi Guy and Gals,

Busy, busy boy groomed 8 dogs this weekend. Tired boy! Made a lot of extra cash, though

I was nonplussed to step on the scale this morning to see I was up 1.6. I let it go because all was on point yesterday. Macros were where they should have been. Calories just over 1200. So, it just is what it is. I'm sure it will fall off in a day or two.

Diane O. Dates!!!! Ah yep, we all want nitty gritty details! Personally, I can't imagine dating, so hats off to you!

Linda, stay strong. DD has not had WLS, has she? Is it possible with the Canadian health care system for DD to get urgent psychiatric crisis care?

Sort of an NSV today (right out of the thin woman's brain...): I was busy making a beautiful omelet with left over tri tip a little cheese, etc... The next client shows up what I thought was half hour early. Turns out I had the wrong time in my mind. I thought about scarfing down the omelet, but decided I would assemble it and eat it after I was done grooming her two dogs (roughly 3 1/2 hours later). I knew I wouldn't enjoy eating quickly and I was looking forward to the omelet. Deciding to wait until I could enjoy it was a proud moment for me. I know it's a little thing, but for some reason it felt huge. I knew I would be just fine waiting a few hours and I didn't even feel hungry while I was grooming. As a matter of fact, I forgot about eating altogether. Hot damn! I like this. Must. Continue. On. This. Path!
