Good Morning!

Wt 218.2  Calories 1115

Eating on plan.  Cravings pretty mu*****heck.  Went to the city, with traffic, easy stress maker. Wanted to eat as we entered into Sam's to buy groceries but realized it for what it was.  Traffic induced head hunger.

Have a great Wednesday.

127.6. No formal exercise yesterday but did get in 10,000 steps anyway.

Crazy what you find when you start packing up 15 years worth of stuff! I'm starting with the little used areas/cupboards first and in the laundry room cupboards I found several free samples of baby fabric softener (likely a freebie in the newborn packet from the hospital). My youngest baby is 13 1/2 years old! I also found 2 huge containers of Shout that you would fill the regular size bottles from and 4 regular bottles, all partially used. I hardly even use Shout but must think I need it when I'm out shopping! In my defense, we bought those washer and dryers that are on pedestals and short little 5' 4" Paula couldn't reach in those cupboards without a mini step ladder!

Hope everyone has a manageable stress day (none of us can avoid it!) and that we are strong in protecting our skinny's!

Hey there, peeps!

122's, not bad eats yesterday, almost (ALMOST) didn't eat anything before bedtime.  Doing pretty good on the anti-grazing kick.  Plenty of steps.

I have decided that no food is allowed in my office unless it is an actual meal time.  Boy do I miss food on demand. Work avoidance/procrastination is strong in me and it makes me want to eat.  Thin Woman would say that I just need to take a (non-food) break and she is no doubt right about that.

Paula, I both love and hate getting a ton of steps in just cleaning the house.  Enjoy unearthing relics from the past!

Onward all!

Shel

Happy Hump Day!

144.8.  Don't feel like I deserved my loss today, I let emotional eating get the best of me yesterday.  It was insane again at work, I was so busy.  First one co-worker left a handful of mini candies on my desk so I ate them.  Someone else left a plate of brownies on my desk too and I ate one of those.  Came home and had a hot dog in a bun for dinner.  Sure I didn't meet my protein goals and too many carbs.  Very disheartening.

Today however I pulled myself out of bed and went on my 3 mile run.  Did the fastest time I've done so far so proud of that!  Will try to turn it around immediately and make today better than yesterday.

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday!!

Hello beautiful fam. I'm at 114 and feeling extra grateful to have this level of back to back success this far into maintenance. Not to suggest things couldn't change, but I know now with certainty that I can continue to change too.

Also thinking a lot about Paula, Michelle and Diane O. this morning. I'm so pleased for each of you in terms of sticking around, learning from those of us further out, and soon to be celebrating an entire year of successful maintenance. And you will.

Heather, if you stick around and model yourself after these stellar folks, you'll be marking the same milestone next year too. At least in my experience, that first year of successful maintenance was the most critical and influential time in my journey to date.

Diane S - you were - and still are - an important role model for me and I will be forever grateful to you. You are the epitome of 'relaxed vigilance', if that makes any sense, and your approach works for me.

Today, the weather is cooperating so me 'n' Violet are heading out on the incredibly scenic route to Lake Louise. Also planning a stop at a fav shoe store in Canmore to see what's new for fall, maybe pick up an end of summer season special if there's something I love.

Stealing words from Shel because they resonate - peace and hope to each of you. Love you

196.  I realized this morning that I have been full of sh*t (not literally) and lying to myself for a while.  I had myself convinced that I have been doing the right thing with my diet and my weight has stabilized at 198.  Since my son-in-law's stroke last week, I have been much more strict with my eating and drinking although I eat almost the same things every day.  I have put up my shields against anything that is not going to help my body.  At least one of my grandsons have slept over every night so every minute that I have not been at work or driving has been spent taking care of them, which has included teaching them proper nutrition.  I have lost 2 pounds.  smh

Yesterday was a successful day. I was surprised by my calorie level for the day: 1,093. Carbs were a bit high, though for a VSG style of eating. Carbs were 65. The scale reflected the change in eating and was down 1.2 pounds.

Insecurities have surfaced again. Hopefully, it will be a short-lived visit. Thankfully, I realize that my feelings are self-imposed and are not reflective of the truth of others. Still, I am in between worlds today. That's my truth and I am working on making my peace with that. It's all part of the journey.

Hoping everyone has the day he or she needs today to be successful.

Struggled today, a lot.  Had meetings solid all day with no lunch, so I snacked too much and on the wrong things.  Lacked control in many ways, including dinner.

Starting fresh tomorrow.  Need to stay focused ahead and not behind.
