I have been running on all cylinders and am tired. My son woke me around 4 a.m. this morning because the electricity went out shutting off his CPAP machine. I went online to see if there were power outages in the area. There was one nearby, so I assumed we were also affected and reported the outage on the electric company's website. I fell back to sleep right before there was a knock on my door. A big truck was parked outside with a strong spotlight shining on me in my pjs. The driver asked if I called and I told him my power is out. He said I had full power. I asked if I missed a bill. He said no, you have full power. I was staring blankly (deer in the headlights). He told me to flip the breaker. I then woke up, realized that all the lights in the neighborhood were on and there was a little light shining in my own basement. I apologized and slunk back inside. I waited till morning to go down to the basement to trip the breaker. The good news is that my grandson seemed impressed that granny "fixed" the electricity. Hashtag FacePalm.
So much going on in our separate worlds - some positives, some challenges - adding to our daily plates. It's really wonderful that we can come here and check in and focus on ourselves for just a few minutes and let the outside world slip away - for even just a minute or two.
I am in WL mode today. Calories are being counted, macros are being monitored. Tuesdays will be my official weigh in day. Time to get the "Puppy Weight" off. LOL - seriously...
Went through all that was going on during the "Puppy time" and the shrink had not really put it all together and acknowledged that I had way more on my emotional plate than just the pups. There were serious relationship issues at the same time. Combine that with the schedule I kept and the lack of sleep and it is truly understandable (and forgivable) why I ate through this time.
Picked up some PB2 yesterday at Whole Foods. Such a delicious addition to my morning shake. Only 22 calories per TBS. I needed a little taste switch. Yum!
Taking it one day at a time.
Strength to all.
