114. Thank you for all your kindness yesterday. Your experiences and support helped to ground me on a tough day. So we will wait and see how things go, hopefully get used to the idea of what's likely ahead of us before we actually have to deal with it.

Going to meet a friend for coffee in the city this afternoon. Really don't want to, but will do it anyway.  DH will be moving more things for DD too, so really should help with that. The good part of that scenario is she has gotten rid of most of her stuff, so if - okay, when - there's a move home, it should be a lot easier.

Diane S. Hoping things so smoothly with your mom.

Paula - I'm truly happy for you. The trouble will be worth it.

Diane O. Glad you've got that mess behind you. Now you get to enjoy the update.

Devon - love those owls!  Keep us in the loop

Dave - keep hooting!  (And yes, you're a hoot)

Carbon - keep that knee rested when you can

Lesa - so happy you're this librarian challenge. Of course we knew you would

shel - your comment about over investing in our only children really resonated

everyone else, can't think of specifics right now, but sending you love and support.

Move never heard of the Sargentos thingies. Might not be available here but will check Costco for them. Are they in the cheese section?

Yep, refrigerator section. They are a combo of cheese, nuts and dried fruit. About 180 or so calories - yummy!

Sargento Balanced Breaks:

Checked them out. Yummalicious! BUT a total slider food for me. Cheese and nuts and dried fruit. Not such a good choice for me. Cheese and nuts are sliders for me and often the dried fruit triggers me. I don't think having pre packed treats like that would be good for me. While I love those types of things for snacks I am prone to eating far too much of them. While I get that the portions are controlled, I have to give props to all of you who are able to control your portions and not go back for more!

The pre-portioned packets are what keep me honest about serving size. I used to buy cans of peanuts from Costco and would eat too many handfuls!

Yup, yup, yup!  Too yummalicious for me to have Costco multi-packs in the house!  Opening up another package isn't a barrier to my brain.

The one time I bought from Costco, DD ate 4 packages in one day!  She is super active and can manage the calories but still!   They aren't necessarily processed but there is something about them makes them too appealing (hmmm, fat plus sugar plus salt --- coincidence?  I think not!)

I agree that they sound to be a very well thought out and layered snack food! Even the healthy commercially packaged stuff tends to be put together in a way that heightens the sensibilities of our taste receptors. That is the key to keep us coming back for more.

Quest has a new recipe for most of their protein bars and I'm noticing many more people posting about eating too many of them. Coincidence? I think not!

Was on-plan yesterday and drank tons of fluids.  Somehow I am still stuck at 184.5.

I missed the origin of the flying donut hole, but I'm guessing this has something to do with food just flying into our mouths??  If so, I can relate. LOL

Ate very clean so far today.  Shake for breakfast, peanut butter and nuts for lunch.  Duck and veggies for dinner in a bit.

Hang in there everyone!

Exactly!  I was the victim of the original attack by a blueberry donut hole.  You would not believe how fast that thing moved.  But be careful- it happens everywhere!!  :-)

Oh yeah - flying food is a universal phenomenon!
