Morning everyone
i appreciate the honesty here and in saying that, it has been a very difficult two days with lots of emotional ups and downs and sadly I had reverted to my drug of choice to get me through.
Adult me knew exactly what I was doing but primal me wanted comfort and wanted it NOW.
so today starting again.
One day at a time. Right? Right.

I got a bunch of steps in yesterday. Didn't stop until bed time. Slept good last night. Feeling it this morning.
Grazing a bit. A nibble here. A sampling of nuts there. Comfort food. Everyday I tell myself I'll do better today.
Onward.

126.6 - up again, no rhyme or reason for it, just what it is. Pretty good eating day yesterday, calories right on. Will spend another day working on getting the house ready for showing it tomorrow. DH will be applying for 2 positions at Florida Gulf Coast in Fort Myers FL, also still trying to get a virtual faculty position where he currently is. Hoping one of the options pans out. Would be so nice to be near my parents their last years and avoiding WI winters wouldn't make me sad either! Lol! I would love to RV it like Linda and her DH but sadly my DH is not a camper at all, even glamping wouldn't be okay for him!
Paula, are your parents in Florida? Sounds like your husband has lots of job options!

Right-o, my persistent peeps!
My current mantra is "I feel better if I wait 3-4 hours between eating." This is absolutely true but my inner child scoffs. I will be practicing this mantra for a while
126, not bad eating yesterday, lots of steps despite lots going on.
Going-on #1) A pervert exposed himself to DD and Dear Neice in the mall parking lot. He lured DN over by saying "how do I get to I-5, my phone just died". DN (kindest person on the planet) pulled up a map and handed the phone to him. DD noticed what was going on in his lap, backed away, and took a picture of his license plate. Later, it was discoverered he had taken a picture of his junk with DN's cell phone. This all happened in a minute or two.
I'll skip to the end: police quickly nabbed him because they had license plate number. He has been charged with 2 misdemeanors (would have been a felony if DD was 14 instead of 15). No priors. Because of the picture, his pants became evidence so they made him give up the pants. We all enjoy that he was made pantless. This enjoyment doesn't come from the best part of our humanity but human non the less.
Going-on #2). Yesterday I arrived to take my MIL to PCP appt for diarrhea/not eating and opted to take her to ER instead. Diagnosed with UTI and c dif. (Cultures for both last week were negative.). She was on her way to full sepsis. MD said she would have likely died in 24 hours untreated. She is in hospital now.

As I read your post it occurred to me that if I hadn't been on medical leave that I would have never scheduled an appt for so early in the day. Feeling grateful.
