wt 218.6  cal 1657  Did better on the grazing yesterday but forgot just how many calories salami has in it.  Mostly fat. Oh well glad  I didn't buy much of it. .

Took all of the doors down in the Airstream to get them ready for paint. I am a bit color blind (red, green, brown, blue and purple) So, Diane S, the ugly lavender would probably be gorgeous to me.  Lodie does all of the color matching at our house.  Main color pallet is in the charcoal and grey, as a base.  The cabinets have blue and maroon added to give it an aged look.  I have been looking at window tints because that will be soon so I can put the screens back on.  Looking at university of YouTube to learn as much as I can before attempting to do them.  The old tint has to be removed first.

126.8 - same. Calories WAY over yesterday, probably my most caloric day since VSG - I stopped entering in data in MFP by the evening (Ostrich effect and all). The boys were clamoring for DQ Blizzards and since I had already blown it for the day, my old stinkin' thinkin' returned and I thought, "What the Hell" and I went for it. The day ended with a small Butterfinger Blizzard. Now, I know VSGers are not supposed to "dump" per se, but something definitely happened physiologically after having that damn Blizzard. Even before we got home I started having symptoms - racing heart and extreme nausea. Had to lie down when I got home and thought for sure I would throw up but only had some dry heaves. I was miserable! Note to self - stick with the Mc Donald's small soft serve cone if you absolutely feel you MUST have that special cold treat! I'm in no hurry to experience that again!

Still getting the house ready for "showing" it to potential buyers on Sunday. After work, I started painting the patchwork our fix-it guy had done to our walls (living with 3 boys sure is tough on a home!) and then I just went through the house and touched up any scratches, scuffs, stains that I could find. Most of our house is still "Contractor's Antique White" and I still had a little paint left from when we bought the house 15 years ago that the builder had left behind. Today I will shampoo the carpet in the basement and take everything out of the china hutch and wa**** and clean all the glass shelves that are covered with dust. Funny how you don't see that stuff on a day to day basis.

Tonight I will finish off taking Senior pictures for DS #1 (the outdoor ones) and will also do one his classmates outdoor pics too. DS #1 needs to get them done before his jaw surgery next Tuesday after which his jaw will be wired shut for 6 weeks. Liquid diet for 6 weeks! Poor kid - at least I know how to prepare it for him and have some protein powders to use! He is obese himself (really has some nasty food addictions) so this will be extra tough for him.

Hope my VSG family is doing well. Have a great day my friends!

Paula, I can SO identify with the ostrich effect!  My old diet style was that if I fell off the wagon I would just lay there and let it run me over several times!  The good news is that you recognized it's not worth it and today you can get right back on plan.  Even "regular" skinny people eat DQ, just not for breakfast, lunch and dinner ;)

Here's to a better day today!

That is what ice cream does to me to me now. Extra incentive to not eat it. Don't clean your house too well because it will make you want to keep it. LOL

I feel for your son! Not fun!!!! I think having my stomach cut out must have been easier in the short term than having my jaw wired shut for 6 weeks.

As for the DQ Blizzard, I think you may have been dealing with the perfect storm. Having had a less than stellar day in the food department as you said, I'm guessing you had a high carb day and probably even too much sugar. The DQ could have been the icing on the cake. I have had those same symptoms (sans the dry heaves, mine are "wet") and each time the high sugar food came at the end of a perfectly horrible no good food day! While I'm not going to encourage you to have DQ Blizzards on a regular basis, I would be willing to bet that had you not had such a crap food day you would not have had such a severe reaction as you did last night. This is based on my own experience and absolutely no science. Just sayin'....

Hello everyone!

I am feeling so grateful to have this board to check in with every day.  I love having the daily support and place to be accountable with my weight and choices!

147.8 today.  Up over 2 lbs since Tuesday!  Since I know my foods haven't really changed I am just trying to accept the ups and downs of the scale as normal and keep on keeping on!  I skipped my 6:00 am run this morning, I was just too exhausted from the day at the prison yesterday.  It was business as usual there, but the things that I see and deal with there take an emotional toll.  I am off with the kids today, planning bowling, shopping and getting oldest to pre-season soccer practice.  I will try to squeeze in the run this evening.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Hey, nothing wrong with pushing yourself to make up that run, but nothing wrong with acknowledging and respecting that you're too tired to take it on. This is what learning balance in maintenance is all about. Either choice can be right for you and you get to decide.

You are so wise Linda!!  I've already decided that it's probably not happening today as I still have a ton to do and day is flying.  But I'll get up tomorrow and hit the road.

Heres the problem with my messed up head.  Since I had a gain on the scale today (even though I know it's a faker) I tell myself that I'm failing and don't deserve to skip my run.  I get into the cycle of self punishment that doesn't help anyone.  Need to work on myself mentally.

Thanks for the kind words!!
