I experienced a major shift in my CBT work last night... the rewiring is working, and it is powerful ! After a healthy dinner, I experienced an intense craving for ice cream. My "little girls" clamored that they deserved a treat because they'd been so good and weight was so stable. I have been identifying some issues from my childhood roots with dysfunctional eating (coping with disappointment, loneliness, feeling overwhelmed) and am using the opportunity of recognizing the head hunger to immediately identify and address the core issue, and "talk my girls through it". It is so exciting how the work healing our inner child evolves over time. My previous individual and group work only brought me so far. This CBT work has prompted me to pick up where I left off, and to continue to move forward. So grateful !!
Devon and Lesa ... wish I could pick your brains and talk some serious shop !! I'm putting the final touches on New Teacher Orientation for 35 teachers and 5 administrators on Thursday. We're really pushing Danielson Frameworks, learning targets and anchor charts. Would love your veteran / regional insight ! These things can easily be deadly... I oversee mentoring for the district and know how Thursday will set the tone for the year.

Wt 217.6 Calories 1103 Still a bit of grazing that I'm trying to control. It is stress eating not hunger. But no nuts and yogurt for 4 weeks. Disappointed that the scales did not reward me more for all my self constraint. Down 5 for the month so I guess I will continue on. I need to rewire my brain too.
Hope everyone's first day back to work / volunteer went well.
My steps: I built all of the doors in the Airstream yesterday. 19 doors. In fact, the 4 that were most difficult were too wide by 2 inches (bad math). I had to build them a 2nd time. Can't use the wider doors anywhere else so I cut them up for kindling. (painful / therapeutic)

SOOOO impressed about staying away from nuts/yogurt. 5 lbs down for the month is terrific. Can you rewire your disappointment to woohoo!?

127.4. Got off work a little early, got right into my jammies and watched a Netflix movie then had a protein bar and cream of wheat for dinner and was in bed before 8:00. Feel a smidge better today but still plan on taking it easy. I am working an extra shift today since we are so busy. That will be good since I will have to take an extra day off next week for DS #1's jaw surgery.
Diane - exciting stuff about the CBT work! I might just have to look into that!
And David - anxious to see your finished product with the Airstream! Our local handyman showed up yesterday, so I guess you are off the hook in coming to WI to help me out!
I will make a YouTube video of the complete remodel when I get done. I have been doing this so long... I am looking forward to the finished product too, LOL.
Glad your handy man showed up. They get busy with a project and get delayed. I have never been to WI. I'm guessing summer would be a good time to be there.

Happy Tuesday!
126's this morning. But the bigger news is that I have been wearing jeans over compression garment the last couple of days. This both soothes me (they fit!) and makes me more food mindful (tighter than usual in some spots!)
Since LBL, waist is down an inch but hips are up .75 inch. Not surprising about the hips....there is some sort of swelling ringing around my body right at the hip measurement site. I have never measured upper thighs but they are clearly smaller per jeans.
Lots of steps yesterday. I have started to include Nike hill in my walks to add a bit of intensity. I don't think I have had quite the breakthrough with CBT as DianeO but I am making some progress.
I was about to type that it is nice to be thinking more about CBT than the scale, but the truth is that I would like not to be thinking of neither! That's my denial talking.
Make today a thin Tuesday!

Morning everyone.
made some Cloud Bread....not sure what to think. I am a bread addict and while this is eggs and cream cheese it feels kind of bready. Anyone else ?
this has been the summer of ' discontent' ( is that a book title ? ). Knee issues, broken tooth yesterday and today PC crashed.
Life does go on.
