Good Morning

Wt  217.8  Calories 1177

My steps yesterday were building doors for the airstream cabinet.  My bed is on an incline so the doors are square on the bottom and angled on the top. Time consuming.  Should have the rest of them built today.  One more cabinet in the bathroom and I'll be ready for paint.

Have a great Monday!

Good Morning!!!  Power went out last night around 9pm and didn't come back on until 7am.  Luckily, we've had a cold front come through and it wasn't hot.  Grateful!  Hoping the food in the fridge and freezer are okay.  I've opened the fridge once to get half and half and it still felt cold.  We just grocery shopped yesterday!!!

I am able to get into the dentist this afternoon!!! Yay!!!  My parents are coming  for lunch and her dr. appointment.  I'm going to try to get in a workout today, too.  Tomr...reality begins with inservice and library prep!!!  Let the fun begin!

David, I can't wait to see the finished product!!!

Hope everyone has a Happy Monday!!!

125's     My body seems to like it here.  I'm not going to sweat getting back in the 129-134 groove.

We have a break in the weather too, for which I'm grateful !!  Yesterday, worked on oiling kitchen cabinets and changing out the handles/knobs.  Looks great !!  Trying to finish any touch up painting and "messy stuff" before new floors go in next week.

I'm consistently fairly successfully distinguishing between physical hunger and head hunger. Now, moving to next step of identifying what feelings are precipitating head hunger, as a first step to determining and addressing unmet needs, and re-wiring the head hunger circuit.  It helps me to be in the role of neutral observer / independent information gatherer.  Being one step removed from the emotionality I've had with food has been a positive shift.  A work in progress for sure !!

Stay the course, my fabulous family !

DianeO, I think you and I are on the same step in the Thin woman's book. I stink at this step. When I ask myself why I eat at night my immediate answer is because it tastes good. Obviously I need to go deeper :)

Another challenging point about the nighttime eating.....she made a comment about whether I have something planned for the evening that nourshes my soul, rather than my body. (Huge paraphrasing on my part) Especially now that I don't have yoga for at least another month, I would have to say no.  If I walk in the evening it seems like more of a chore than nourishment these days.

So, looking for evening soul nourishment.....stay tuned :)

Good morning!

128's today.  I was a slug yesterday until a late evening walk and ended the day with a decent number of steps which felt like a lie considering I was on my back most of the day.

I have my eye on 2 areas of the house to address today. My hope is that by not trying to address the whole house that I will actually be able to get something done instead of hopelessly laying around.

Love your skinny!

Shel

Hey everyone!

Sounds like all are well and keeping busy!  148 today, a 2.2 lb loss for the week so I'm happy with that.

Yesterday's food choices not so great.  I left the campground and went directly to a 10am-7pm shift at the clinic.  Had some food with me but not a ton so did some snacking and more disordered eating.  I actually find it a little stressful now to not be able to plan and control what I eat.  Got on the elliptical for a good workout this am and going to make up a batch of taco cups today so I have work food for this week.  I'm working at the prison on Wednesday and nobody wants to eat that food!!!

Have a wonderful Monday all- keep up the good fight!

Good morning! Today was one of those mornings I wish I had skipped the scale. I am up 3 pounds from yesterday. Logically, I know this can't be, but on an emotional level - IT SUCKS! LOL! I did not overeat yesterday, but what I did do was eat in a completely azz backwards macro way - very little protein beyond my 20 grams in the protein shake. The rest of the day was mostly carbs - fruit, salad, a slice of bread and the only thing offered at dinner was pasta - so that's what I ate!

Having some major domestic stress around here. Ron is dealing with car difficulties and some financial crap and I always take on the stress of that. I'm trying my very best to step away from it, but history shows that when I step away he will avoid doing what he needs to do (which is why he's in the situation he's in right now!). Sigh.... I tend to get so frustrated and angry over this stuff, but I hold it in because I don't want to make matters worse. And when I hold things in, I tend to eat. Hoping that putting this in black and white will help me not do that.

Off to school....Summer is over......Booooooooo!

Boooooo, teacher volunteer week!

Boooooo, dumb scale!

I'm focusing on the lack of chocolate/ice cream/baked goods in your carb description!  Good job!

LOL! Technically my rules don't go into effect until tomorrow! Maybe I was just practicing a little bit ahead of time!

One of the things that is hard for me to manage sometimes is the amount of work and prep it takes to eat appropriately. I have been out of that mode for quite some time and been focusing on what is easy and convenient. So, that's another issue I need to wrap my head around.

Hahaha - I have my work cut out for me!
