A puffy 115 after a high salt day. Must curb that today. Diane O I'm so freakin' happy for you on every front. You truly deserve all that positivity!!!

We took the bikes into town yesterday but played tourists. Did a super interesting mine tour. Today we are trying to sort out our 'addresses' for the rest of our glamping time but it seems we've left things a bit late and now were scrambling. Oh well, things always work out just fine and it's all part of the adventure.

We are still enjoying ourselves and after such a long time living in close quarters we are still getting along very well. Kudos to both of us, I say! Will take the bikes out later, likely to do a few touristy things. Although we really haven't done any serious riding, we've had a great time in Kimberley.

May all of you have a healthy and happy Friday.

I want a new bike SO bad!!!

Linda, I'm curious what you define as glamping??  We are on our way to our favorite campground shortly and I'm wondering if I'm camping or Glamping??  :)

In its truest sense, glamping is sleeping in a luxury bed in a tent in a beautiful natural setting, usually accompanied by gourmet meals that are prepared in an onsite restaurant, etc.

I've taken some liberties with the word. To me, the only thing that really constitutes camping is tenting, sleeping on or close to the ground, cooking over a camp stove, etc. but others consider what we are doing - which is living in an RV with comfy beds, baths, stoves, fridges, a/c etc.  To me, I consider that closer to glamping than camping, because I'm really not 'roughing it' in anyway.

I have done my share of tent camping and loved it!!  Right now we have a travel trailer which is pretty comfortable- stove, fridge and AC.  So technically I'm Glamping.  And couldn't be happier about it!  :)

Here in California, we refer to what you and Rob are doing as RVing. Possibly more accurate, what?

Devon, I have never been west of Iowa, that's where my hubbys family is from.  One of these days I wanna road trip and make it to California!!  Really high on list of places I want to see!

Here, people might talk about the RV 'lifestyle' but the activity itself is rarely called RVing. It's all considered camping. I see the term used as a verb online, but here we don't differentiate 'types' of camping unless specifically asked.
