Weight the same, better steps/energy yesterday, moving closer to where I want to be on eating. I plan to get scholarly today to figure out process to incorporate CBT suggestions from recent books.
While this struggle is real, it also seems small today in comparison to three go-fund me projects: a sister in law with recent stage 4 cancer diagnosis, the death of a 15 year old classmate of DD,and my yoga studio's complete destruction by fire.
I am counting my many blessings today.
Hug your peeps today --- I'm sending you all a hug as well :)

Oh Shel, you are so right about counting one's own blessings! I was struck by that last week when talking with my aunt's home healthcare provider. She was born and raised in Harlem and still lives there with her sister, aunt and deadbeat uncle (brother and sister, not husband and wife). She pays the cable bill and groceries, her sister pays the rent, and her aunt takes care of the electric and gas bill. The uncle contributes nothing. The three women work really hard just to make ends meet. Their rent is $1200. That really put things in perspective for me.
I'm in the same boat as you with incorporating the CBT stuff. Not easy stuff. Makes me face a lot of truth I might not really want to look at - such as my lack of skill transitioning from one activity to another. Boooo!
I'm here and up just over 1/2 pound. I ate poorly yesterday. Not over so mu*****alories, but quality was low and salt was high. I can feel the bloat in my fingers - hate that!
Very busy today. Shrink would be shaking her head, if she knew.... oh well.... Garage project is going along fantastically well. Kudos to Ron for diving in and taking care of paperwork and music filing and purging he's been avoiding for 15 years (maybe 20). He found stuff yesterday from the early 70s! I try to purge with some regularity, so I have not had nearly as much to do as he. I'm certain that by Monday or Tuesday we will have a garage that will hold a car!!!! Amazing! We've lived here 8 years and neither of our vehicles has ever been in the garage!
Feeling weird about my truth with food and how I use it to cope with life. Hoping that sense of mild discomfort is a good thing.
Much joy to all. Please stay cool back east. So glad I missed it. I seem to have squeezed in between to hot spells. I'm very grateful. I LOATHE, DETEST, DESPISE, HATE HUMIDITY!!! One of the joys of where I live in CA. DRY HEAT!
113 today so that is good. Had a good food day with DH and DD off site. It's easier when I'm on my own during the daytime hours. Funny how the reverse used to be true. I sought out opportunities to be alone and eat.
DH is low energy after the long drive to and from Calgary to bring DD home so we haven't formal plans for the day. Wish I could take a few degrees of that super hot weather off your hands because it's been too cool here!
Thank you for all the responses to my post yesterday. I found them comforting.
Peace out

130.5 still. At least its not going up. Glad for that. Hubby has taken to walking the puppy as well as the recently neutered Chip. Chip has to wear this collar and he looks like a passenger on the Titanic. I should do another puppy walk later in the day. might do that sit seems to make a weight difference and puppy has endless energy
We are so grateful for our cool summer weather here. Today is typical - starting out overcast but the sun will be out later but not above 70 degrees.
Gotta hit Costco today and the paint store for color samples.
Hey the big new natural foods store very nearby opens tomorrow! They have better prices than the coop so we can't wait. Also, they have a coffee shop area and are going to have our gallery hang art there for sale. Cool.
Someone has to invent grass that doesn't need mowing. A number of people around here just let their yards be "natural" (read: messy). Usually includes a junked car or two and other accessories.
Kairk you are an inspiration on the garage. We have kept our cars in but had to move one out for the siders to work. now need a spot for the painter to set up. I want to really organize it properly to the tools are accessible and we can still open a car door. Slowly working on the papers. Found my medicare card that I didn't know had arrived as well as license plate stickers. Wonder what other treasures lurk in the junk. Probably a check from Ed McMahon. Oh yeah, he is dead.
So glad you injured ones are getting some relief. Take care. Diane S
