trusting that those of us who are going through difficult family times are surviving unscathed. Alcohol/dementia are hard issues to deal with.

Happy Saturday!
No weight today as we are camping but was able to make some good choices yesterday. Living in Maine I'm so lucky to have all the great fresh seafood, I tried steamed mussels for lunch yesterday. So good!!
Today we are headed to theme park so some challenges there. But had my protein bar for breakfast and have a turkey burger for dinner. Will do the best I can with lunch. Lots of walking and brought my bigges****er bottle.
Hope all are well and have a great weekend!

Wt. 217.0 down 2.8 calories. 1277 weight is bouncing around everywhere.
Didn't work on the airstream. Took MIL to the city for Dr appt. then to sam's while we were there. Over 2 weeks of no nuts and yogurt. I am here where I usually return to being a slave to the yogurt. Not today.
Hoping everyone has a great weekend.

114. I'll take it. Hanging in on the food front with choices that are acceptable. Not great, but acceptable in this cir****tance and at this weight.
Sitting here enjoying my morning coffee with Bailee, enjoying the view of the pines and the sound of the river. And jus****ched mama deer and her three fawns nibble right by us! Unfortunately I wasn't ready for a pic before they moved out of sight, but here a couple of the setting at the back. It's gorgeous and the trees 'feel' like Canada.
Rob left early for the long drive to Calgary to pick up our daughter. She always feels better after spending a few days with us. She is excited about joining us, and although she's not always easy to have around, we hope the next few days will strengthen her. Won't be long before we're back in the Calgary area anyway. DH must return to work on Aug 24, but we will continue to glamp until end of September.
I have deep empathy and admiration for all of you dealing with the frail elderly. Tough stuff. And to those of you who are healing, may this day be pain free. Peace out.

I'm back home after 3 days of business travel. That's always a challenge for me with food & alcohol. I'm happy to report that I did exceptionally well with the eating. And pretty lousy with the alcohol. Business dinners that tend to lag on forever can have that affect and I am a sucker for it. Anyway, I walked away unscathed... weighed in at 183.5 this morning. Happy with basically maintaining through that.
But really want to make a downward step before I launch into 7 days of business + personal travel on Monday. So trying to exercise and eat light today. May do just liquids tomorrow. Need another re-set.
Did yoga this morning. One leg feels really tight, a little pain. Want to do yoga tomorrow but will have to ease up on some moves. Not running at the moment due to an ankle injury. Injuries... they are what happen when I go above 185 in weight and keep exercising a lot. The weight is just too much for me. Anyway... taking positive steps to change that and trying to be patient.
Happy Saturday!

For me the alcohol doesn't have the same effect as pre-op. If it can't help control my pain I don't want the extra calories. I have exercised 3 times this week but my back and knees say that's enough. Bike riding is easier on my knees so I did that monday and got almost 5 miles in.
